Misfits Gaming faces off against Team Vitality in this week two matchup of the 2019 LEC Spring season
Misfit Gaming sits 3-0 in LEC match play and is tied for first place with G2 Esports. Misfits Gaming is coming off another dominating win against Origen where Misfits put up eighteen kills and ten deaths. In the match against Origen, Misfits Gaming showed that they can compete in the early game where most people doubted them. Misfits had three early kills and the duo of Hans Sama and Gorilla in the bottom lane seemed too much for Origen. In the first eighteen minutes of the game Misfits Gaming was able to get eight kills along with three towers and three dragons to bolster up their gold lead. Origen had moments where they looked like they could make it competitive but miscommunication in the 28th minute allowed Gorilla and Hans Sama to get crucial kills and they were able to close the game out in the 31st minute. Misfits Gaming has been dubbed this super team and in an interview after the match Soaz stated that on paper Misfits Gaming is the best team in the LEC and possibly the best team he has ever played on. Misfits Gaming has proven doubters that even though they have not played together very long that their skill alone cannot be topped.
Team Vitality on the other hand comes off an impressive win over Fnatic and sit tied for third with a 2-1 record. Vitality went back and forth with Fnatic and at twenty-two minutes into the game both teams sat with eight kills with Vitality leading towers 3-1. Atilla for Vitality looked much better in this match and was not dying in the lane alone like we have seen in past games. Vitality put the game in their hands in the 31st minute when they Aced Fnatic and that was all she wrote. Fnatic was the favorite to win Worlds’ and since that loss they have not looked the same with a record of 0-3. Vitality has stated that they will lift the trophy at some point this year but they have to go through Misfits Gaming to do that.
Misfits Gaming is at -222 for this matchup and we really don’t like that price so we look at the props. I like Misfits to get the first kill and continue that with being the first team to ten kills.
