DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB FanDuel "Main" Lineup - 4/16/19

Update (6:17 PM) - Hi Everyone! Made me updates. Image is updated below! Good Luck!

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone had a nice Monday!

I'm once again only going to be doing a FanDuel lineup today (time is going to be very limited over the next few weeks.....) and let's take a look at what we have for tonight's FanDuel "Main" slate that starts at 6:35 pm.

On the mound, we're going with Jose Quintana of the Cubs who had a nice match-up against the Miami Marlins. Quintana had his best outing of the season in his last start agianst Pittsburgh (7.0 IP, 0 ER, 11 K) and faces a Miami team that is hitting just .220 on the season and is averaging 12.7 strikeouts/game over their last three games. I don't expect Quintana to put up another 60+ point performance, however, I think he can get us 40+ points which is still solid value at a price tag of just $7,900.

On the offensive side, I'm going to start off with a stack of New York Mets against the RHP Nick Pivetta of the Philadelphia Phillies. Pivetta has really struggled this season as he comes into this game with a 9.45 ERA & 2.18 WHIP. Pivetta can rack up K’s here and there, however, his fastball doesn’t have movement and he can certainly surrender some HR’s as he posted a 1.32 HR/9 ratio last season and has a 2.03 HR/9 ratio over this first 3 games this season.

The wind will be blowing out to right-field tonight at Citizens Bank Park and we’re loading up some solid LHB’s of the Mets in Brandon Nimmo, Michael Conforto, and Jeff McNeil.

Our next stack will be with the Tampa Bay Rays who have a great match-up against the RHP Dylan Bundy of the Baltimore Orioles. Bundy has struggled in his first three starts of the season as the comes in with an 8.76 ERA and is coming off a game against Oakland in which he gave up 4 HR’s in just 5.0 IP. Bundy is allowing his opponents to post a .300 average & 1.137 OPS against him this season and as his HR/9 ratio currently sits at 4.38, I imagine that Bundy will be targeted heavily tonight.

For the Rays, we’re going with Brandon Lowe, Willy Adames, and Tommy Pham.

At 1B, we’re going with some value in Lucas Duda for the Kansas Royals in his matchup against Reynaldo Lopez of the White Sox. Lopez has not had the start to the season he was hoping for as he comes into this game with a 12.15 ERA & 2.55 WHIP. Lopez is allowing his opponents to post a .367 average & 1.223 OPS against him and has allowed 3 HR’s in each of his last two starts. Duda comes into this game with just a .174 average, however, he did hit his first HR of the season on Sunday and is seeing the ball well right now as over his last two games, he is 2 for 4 with 4 BB, 1 HR, and 4 RBI’s.

Rounding out the team will be Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians. Ramirez is off to another slow start this season, however, is coming off his best game of the season yesterday after posting a 39.9-point performance against Seattle (1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB, 2 SB). Ramirez is a top-5 talent in the AL and there is no way I’m passing up on him when his current price is just $3,100.

As always, I will make any necessary updates due to confirmed lineups, weather, etc. I will do my best to update the post but if it’s a last-second update, it’s easier for me to post that with an image on Twitter (@BrettCU05).

Good Luck!
