Hi Everyone!

Happy Sunday!

We had a decent 144.4-point performance that had us cashing in the majority of the 50/50’s I entered last night (5 of 6). We had a solid performance from our value pitcher in Logan Webb (35 points) and had a huge game by Kevin Newman (34.6 points) that helped us get over the cash line.

Let’s keep it going today as we take a look at today’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 8 games and starts at 1:05pm.

I’m actually going to be doing just a GPP lineup today!

On the mound, we’re going to roll the dice as Oakland’s Sean Manaea will be making his first start since late last season after recovering for a major shoulder injury. Manaea has had a very solid MLB career as he comes into this game with a 3.94 ERA & 1.22 WHIP and has been outstanding as of late in the minors, including coming off a performance just over a week ago in which he went 7.0 innings, allowing 0 ER’s while striking out 12. Manaea is holding the current Yankees roster to just a .217 average/.680 OPS in his career and as it looks like he won’t have many pitch restrictions as he threw almost 100 pitches his last start, I think he’ll easily hit value at just $5,500.

On the offensive end, we’re going to pay up for both Jose Altuve & Yordan Alvarez in their match-up agianst the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays will be going with a bullpen game today, leading off with Wilmer Font who has been nothing more than average with his 4.35 ERA & 1.27 WHIP.

Altuve is having another outstanding season as he comes into this game with a .302 average with 25 HR’s and I like how he is going to lead off the game against Font, in which he is 2 for 5 w/ a HR against.

Alvarez has been incredible in his first season with the Astros, as he comes into this game with a .319 average w/ 21 HR’s over his first 64 games and has posted a 1.000+ OPS vs. both LHP & RHP on the season.

I’m going with some value with Ji-Man Choi as he is still reasonable priced at just $2,600 despite hitting .455 with 2 HR’s over the past week. Choi doesn’t have the easiest match-up against Adam Plutko of the Indians, however, Plutko has allowed 19 HR’s in 14 starts this season and is allowing LHB’s to post a .820 OPS against him.

We have a 2-man stack of Oakland Athletics in Matt Chapman, Marcus Semien, & Khris Davis in their match-up vs. J.A. Happ of the Yankees. It’s been a tough year for J.A. Happ as he comes into this game with a 5.57 ERA & 1.36 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .270 average/.824 OPS. Happ has been crushed by the HR ball this season as he has allowed 32 HR’s and comes into this game with a 2.15 HR/9 ratio.

Chapman comes into this game with 30 HR’s & 75 RBI’s on the season and has posted a .937 OPS vs. LHP.

Semien has hit 3 HR’s over the past week and has had great success against Happ in his career, posting a .429 average (9 for 21) with 3 HR’s against the LHP.

Davis has really struggled this season, however, he played well in his last two games agianst the Royals earlier this week (4 for 8 w/ HR) and I just like his HR-upside agianst Happ who he does have a HR agianst in his career.

Nicholas Castellanos has been outstanding since joining the Cubs, posting a .348 average with 11 HR’s over 28 games and love his match-up agianst the LHP Gio Gonzalez of the Milwaukee Brewers today. Gonzalez is coming off his worst game of the season vs. St. Louis (5.0 IP, 9 H, 4 BB, 7 ER) and should have trouble agianst Castellanos who has posted a .370 average/1.129 OPS vs. LHP on the season.

Rounding out the team will be Anthony Rendon of the Nationals in his match-up agianst the LHP Caleb Smith of the Miami Marlins. Smith has struggled over his last two starts, allowed 5 ER’s & 2 HR’s in each start, and has allowed 21 of his 25 HR’s agianst RHB’s on the season.  Rendon is hitting an incredible .611 (11 for 18) over the past week and has posted a .339 average/1.099 OPS vs LHP’s on the season.
