DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 6/11/19

Update (6:20pm) - Hi Everyone. I've decided to get a bit more risky with my lineup tonight and pay up for some more bats. I'm taking a chance with Darwinzon Hernandez of the Red Sox who despite being a bit wild, has an impressive strikeout rate in the minors this season and recorded 4 K's in 2.1 IP in his only appearance in the majors this season. With the extra cash saved, we're able to spend up for some bigger bats in Arenado, Rosario, and Rendon. Image is updated. Good Luck!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a nice start to their week!

Here is our “Initial Lineup” for tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 15-games and starts at 7:05pm.

On the mound, we’re going to pay-up a bit for San Diego’s impressive rookie right-hander, Chris Paddack. Paddack comes into this game with an impressive 2.97 ERA & 0.89 WHIP and has a solid 9.79 K/9 ratio. Paddack has struggled a bit in his last two starts (vs. NYY & PHI), however, you couldn’t ask for a better matchup as he will be up agianst the Giants who come into this game ranked 29th in team batting average vs. RHP (.220 average) and 15th in team strikeout rate.

In hopes to get some support for Paddack, we’re going to be rostering both Franmil Reyes & Manny Machado in their matchup against the Giants RHP Tyler Beede. It’s been a struggle for Beede this season as he comes into this game with an 8.15 ERA & 2.21 WHIP while allowing his opponents to post a .320 average/.981 OPS against him. Beede has also had trouble keeping the ball in the park as he is currently posting a 2.04 HR/9 ratio.

Reyes has some of the best pure power in the game and it’s been on full display this season as he comes into this game with 19 HR’s. Reyes has an impressive .866 OPS vs. RHP and .956 OPS in “night” games this season.

Machado hasn’t lived up to his big contract as of yet, however, it hasn’t been a completely disappointing season to date for Machado as he does have 10 HR’s and 33 RBI’s on the season. Machado has been better on the road this season (.274 average) and I think he some solid value at just $3,400.

On the offensive end, we’re going right back to a 3-man Washington stack in Howie Kenrick, Brian Dozer, and Trea Turner in their match-up against the LHP Manny Banuelos of the Chicago White Sox. It’s been a rough season for Banuelos to date as over his 11 games pitched this season, he comes into this game with a 7.36 ERA & 1.83 WHIP. Banuelos is allowing opponents to post a .312 average/.981 OPS against him and has a disappointing 2.45 HR/9 ratio.

Kendrick continues to produce as after his performance last night (2 for 3, 3 R, 2 BB, 1 RBI), the 13-year veteran is hitting .333 with 11 HR’s & 40 RBI’s. Kenrick is hitting .391 over the past week and you have to love him hitting in the heart of a hot-swinging Nationals lineup right now.

Dozier is hitting just .230 on the season, however, he does have 10 HR’s and has been swinging a hot bat as of late as he has a .300 average over the past week and a .370 average in the month of June. Dozier has crushed LHP this season to the tune of a .367 average & 1.171 OPS.

Turner has been on fire as of late as over his past 4 games, he has posted a .444 average (8 for 18) with 2 HR’s. Turner was just a single away from the cycle last night and I love the fact that he comes into this game with a .355 average/.928 OPS vs. LHP’s this season.

I’m getting Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the lineup as it’s hard to pass up on his HR upside vs. an LHP for the reasonable price of $3,000.

It’s hard not to roster anyone from the Minnesota lineup with how they are crushing the ball this year and I’m going to make sure I get some exposure with Max Kepler. Kepler will be up agianst Mike Leake who in his last two road starts, has given up 5 HR’s. Kepler has 15 HR’s on the season and has a .921 OPS vs. RHP’s on the season.

Rounding out the team with be the Astros rookie slugger in Yordan Alvarez who blasted a HR in his MLB debut on Sunday and is up agianst the Brewers Freddy Peralta who comes into this game with a 5.11 ERA while allowing LHB’s to post a .279 average/.811 OPS agianst him.

As always, I will make any necessary updates due to confirmed lineups, weather, etc. I will do my best to update the post but if it’s a last-second update, it’s easier for me to post that with an image on Twitter (@BrettCU05).

Good Luck!
