We’re hoping to start off the week on a winning note as week a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel Slate that features 6 games and starts at 7:05pm.
We do have to keep a close eye on the KAN/CLE game as it looks like some weather will hit Cleveland tonight. Currently, it looks like they’ll start the game however, it looks likely their will be a delay at some point and possibility a ppd. I think Bobby Bradley (CLE) has some of the best value on the board tonight, however, it’s going to be risk rolling with him.
On the mound, we’re going back to the Red Sox and will go with the left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez in a decent match-up agianst the White Sox. Rodriguez has been a bit hot & cold as of late, however, he has posted at least 38-FanDuel points in 4 of his last 5 starts and has some decent K-upside with a 9.73 K/9 ratio. The White Sox have struggled a bit agianst LHP as they come in ranked just 24th in team batting average vs. LHP (.266) and also rank just 23rd in team strikeout rate (9.25 K’s per game).
On the offensive end, we’re going to be focusing on three teams tonight in the Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, and Chicago Cubs.
Philadelphia get’s a solid match-up agianst Steven Matz of the New York Mets, who had his worst outing of his career at Philadelphia earlier this season as didn’t record a single out after allowing 6 ER’s on 4 hits (2 HR). Matz has allowed 15 HR’s on the season so far and is allowing opponents to post a .960 OPS agianst him.
For the Phillies, we’re going with a 4-man stack of Rhys Hoskins, Cesar Hernandez, Jean Segura, and Scott Kingery who combined have a .361 average with 4 HR’s against Matz in their careers.
We’re going with a 2 man-stack of Atlanta Braves agianst Jon Lester of the Cubs. Lester hasn’t been anything better than average this season as he comes into this game with a 4.13 ERA & 1.35 WHIP and has really struggled keeping the ball in the park as of late as he has allowed 7 HR’s over his last 3 starts.
For the Braves, we’re going to pay up for Ronald Acuna Jr and go with some solid value in Josh Donaldson who is hitting .375 with 3 HR’s over the past week.
Rounding out the team, we’re going with a couple of LHB’s of the Cubs in Kyle Schwarber & Carlos Gonzalez in their match-up agianst Julio Teheran of the Braves.
As always, I will make any necessary updates due to confirmed lineups, weather, etc. I will do my best to update the post but if it’s a last-second update, it’s easier for me to post that with an image on Twitter (@BrettCU05).
