DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 7/1/19
Monday, July 1, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
Hope you all are having a nice start to your weeks! Hopefully some of you have some time off this week for the 4th of July!
Let’s take a look at our initial lineup for tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 5 games and starts at 7:05pm.
We don’t have many great options on the mound tonight as I think it really comes down to whether you want to pay up for Mike Minor (who ever thought Minor would cost $10,800!!!) or go with Logan Allen who has been solid in his first 2 MLB starts. As I don’t want to pay almost $11,000 for Minor, I’m going to go with Allen as I like his match-up against a weak San Francisco offense. Allen has been impressive his first two starts as he picked up two wins against Milwaukee (7.0 IP, 0 ER, 5 K) & Baltimore (6.0 IP, 2 ER, 5 K). I do like picking rolling with rookies as opposing teams don’t have as much data/video against them and as the Giants rank dead last in batting average vs. LHP (.222 average) this season, I think Allen can continue his early success and get us a 40-50 point night.
Although we spend up a bit on Allen, we’re still rolling out with a major 4-man stack of the Milwaukee Brewers in their prime match-up in the very hitters friendly Great American Ball Park. Milwaukee will be up against Tyler Mahle of the Reds and although he has been decent as of late, Mahle has struggled against LHP throughout his career and so far this season, allowing LHB’s to post a .282 average/.563 slugging %/.897 OPS against him.
For the Brewers, were’ loading up with the LHB’s and going with Eric Thames, Mike Moustakas, Christian Yelich, and Ben Gamel.
We’re going to stay with the MIL/CIN match-up as I think Cincinnati has some of the better value bats today and what could end up being a bullpen game for the Brewers as they are starting Adrian Houser. Houser has been solid as a reliever this season, however, is filling as a spot starter for the Brewers and struggled in his last outing against Seattle as he allowed 3 ER’s (4 hits, 3 BB) in just 2 innings of work against Seattle.
As the Reds are at home, I’m hoping that the MIL/CIN game is a high scoring affair as I’m going with Jose Iglesias, Jesse Winker, and Derek Dietrich.
Rounding out the team will be Manny Machado who is in a great match-up against Jeff Samardzija of the Giants tonight. Machado has been smashing the ball as of late, hitting 4 HR’s over the past week, and you have to like his changes tonight as he is 5 for 11 (.455 average) with 2 HR’s vs. Samardzija in his career.
Thanks for following as always and don't forget to follow me on Twitter (@BrettCU05) as that is where I can't post list minute changes if needed!
Good Luck tonight!
