Update (6:49pm) - Hi Everyone! Going to make some changes as I'm worried enough about the weather in CLE to play it safe and avoid that match-up. I've added a few LHB's of the Dodgers and now have a 3-man COL stack at home. Image is updated. Good Luck!
Hope everyone is having a solid Tuesday!
Let’s check out our lineup for tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” which features 15 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound, we’re going to go with some value in the White Sox’s Dylan Cease who will be making his 2nd career MLB start agianst the Royals tonight. Cease settled down after a rocky 1st inning in this MLB debut and showed his K-upside finishing with 6 K’s over 5.0 IP. Cease has an electric fastball and with his ability to rack up strikeouts (73 K’s in 68.1 IP in Triple-AAA), I’ll take a chance with the right-hander with his price tag just at $6,700.
On the offensive end, I’m going to attack the SFG/COL match-up tonight as we could see plenty of runs with Colorado’s Peter Lambert & San Francisco’s Drew Pomeranz.
Lambert comes into this match-up with a 9.17 ERA over 4 starts at Coors Field this season and has been crushed by LHB’s to the tune of a .327 average/.750 slugging %/1.118 OPS.
For the Giants, we’re going with three LHB’s in Brandon Belt, Alex Dickerson, & Brandon Crawford.
Drew Pomeranz has really struggled this season as he is coming this game with a 6.42 ERA & 1.77 WHIP. Pomeranz is allowing their opponents to post a .305 average on the season while allowing RHB’s to post a .314 average/.990 OPS.
For the Rockies, we’re paying up for their two big RHB bats in Nolan Arenado & Trevor Story.
There are a lot of great offensive match-ups tonight and one I do want to the target is the Indians vs. the LHP Ryan Carpenter of the Detroit Tigers. Carpenter has allowed 17 ER’s over his last 3 starts (4 HR’s) and has allowed opponents to post a .331 average/.987 OPS against him on the season.
For the Indians, we’re going with some value bats in Oscar Mercado & Jordan Luplow.
Rounding out the team we’re going with the Nationals 2B Brian Dozier who brings some HR upside in his matchup agianst the RHP Asher Wojciechowski of the Orioles.
