Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!
Let’s take a look at today’s initial lineup for FanDuel’s MLB “Main Slate” that features 15 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound, we’re going to pay up for Chris Sale of the Boston Red Sox in their big match-up agianst the Tampa Bay Rays. Sale looked like his old self in his last start agianst Toronto (6.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 12 K) and looked solid against Tampa Bay in his only start against this season (7.0 IP, 2 ER, 8 K). Sale will have the advantage of pitching at Tropicana Field tonight and faces a Rays team that currently ranks just 19th in team batting average vs. LHP (.248 average) & 23rd in team strikeout rate (9.38 K/game).
On the offensive side, we’re getting off our team with the big bats of Juan Soto & Christian Yelich.
Soto has a great match-up agianst Pete Lambert who is allowing LHB’s to post a .309 average/1.004 OPS agianst him on the season while Soto has posted a .914 OPS vs. RHP’s.
Yelich will be up agianst Tanner Roark who although is sporting a decent ERA, has really struggled against LHB’s, allowing them to post a .317 average/.960 OPS. Yelich has crushed RHP to the tune of a .372 average/1.258 OPS this season and has 2 HR’s off Roark in his career.
Arizona at home agianst Dylan Bundy is a match-up you’ll want to target as Bundy gives up a bunch HR’s and is coming off a game in which he allowed 7 ER’s on 8 hits in just 1.0 IP. Bundy has a 2.05 HR/9 ratio on the season, and I like the value that Christian Walker & Jake Lamb bring to the table.
We have both Corey Seager & Kyle Seager in the lineups as their both sit in the mid-$2000 range and have HR upside in their match-ups.
Rounding out the team, we’re going with more value in Cincinnati’s Scooter Gennett who is bound to have a breakout game soon and Curtis Granderson who brings HR-upside at the minimum price.
