Update (6:19pm) - Hi Everyone! Had to make an adjustment as Ehire Adrianza isn't making the start tonight. I know have a 4-man LAD stack. Image is updated. Good Luck!
Hi Everyone!
Hope your having a great Wednesday!
Our value pick of Vince Velasquez this afternoon paid off as he went off for a 50-point performance and I’m sticking with value on the mound tonight as we’re going to be going with the RHP Zac Gallen of the Marlins in his match-up vs. the White Sox. Gallen has been solid since being called up as he has yet to give up more than 3 ER’s in any of his five starts and has shown some solid strikeout upside as he is currently posting a 10.48 K/9 ratio. Gallen has a decent match-up against the White Sox who are at about league average in batting average vs. RHP (.251 average) & 24th in team strikeout rate (9.49 K/game).
On the offensive end, we’re going to start with a 3-man stack of Dodgers in their match-up against the RHP Jaime Barria of the Angels. It’s been a tough year for Barria as he comes into this match-up with a 7.36 ERA & 1.64 WHIP and struggled in his last start allowing 10 ER’s to the Mariners over just 3.2 IP. Barria is allowing his opponents to post a .316 average/.918 OPS against him on the season and currently is posting a 1.64 HR/9 ratio.
For the Dodgers, we’re going with three LHB’s in Joc Pederson, Max Muncy, & Cody Bellinger.
We have a 2-man stack of Minnesota Twins in their match-up against the LHP J.A. Happ of the Yankees. Happ has pitched a bit better as of late, however, has overall struggled this season as he comes into this game with a 4.86 ERA & 1.30 WHIP. Happ struggled in his only start against Minnesota earlier this season (5.2 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 2 HR) and once again is struggling with HR’s as he currently is posting a 1.89 HR/9 ratio.
For the Twins, we’re going with the big bat of Nelson Cruz and going with some value in Ehire Adrianza.
Staying in this match-up, we’re going to pay up for the Yankees Aaron Judge in his match-up agianst Jake Odorizzi of the Twins. Odorizzi has pitched well this season but has struggled as of late, posting a 6.08 ERA in his three starts in July while also allowing 8 HR’s in his last six starts. Judge has had some success agianst Odorizzi in his career as he is 2 for 7 with a HR & 3 BB’s.
Rounding out our team, we’re going with some value picks in Colin Moran of the Pirates & Howie Kendrick of the Nationals.
Moran has been great at home this season, posting a .338 average and has been red-hot in the month of July, posting a .375 average. Moran will be able agianst the RHP Adam Wainwright in which he is 4 for 6 lifetime agianst with a HR.
Kendrick has been outstanding this season posting a .317 average with 12 HR’s & 48 RBI’s and you have to like his value tonight hitting out of the 5-hole against LHP Kyle Freeman of the Rockies. Freeland has really struggled this season, posting a 7.62 ERA & 1.65 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .932 OPS agianst him.
