Hope everyone has had a good week!
Let’s take a look at our lineup for tonight’s MLB “FanDuel “ lineup that features 14 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound, we’re going to be rolling with the RHP Michael Pineda of the Minnesota Twins in his solid match-up against the Chicago White Sox. Pineda has been solid this season, posting a 4.41 ERA & 1.19 WHIP, and has been great as of late, giving up just 6 ER’s over his last 4 starts while striking out 28 batters in 23.1 IP. Pineda recently had a 49-point performance agianst the White Sox (6.0 IP, 1 ER, 8K), and you have to like his chances to repeat that performance as the White Sox rank just 16th in batting average vs. RHP (.249 average) & 26th in team strikeout rate (9.51 K/game).
On the offensive side, we’re starting off with a 3-man stack of NYY against the RHP Andrew Cashner of the Boston Red Sox. Cashner has struggled since been acquired by the Red Sox and has allowed 9 ER’s (4 HR’s) over his first two starts with Boston. Cashner is a reverse splits pitcher who has fared much worse vs. RHB’s as on the season and is going to have trouble keeping the ball in Fenway Park tonight.
For the Yankees, we’re rolling with the RHB’s of DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, and Aaron Judge.
We have a 2-man stack of Tampa Bay Rays in Nate Lowe & Willy Adames in their match-up against the RHP Jacob Waguespack of the Toronto Blue Jays. Waguespack has struggled this season as he comes into this game with a 5.68 ERA & 1.47 WHIP while allowing his opponents to hit .308 against him.
Lowe has huge HR upside at an affordable price and has been solid agianst RHP’s this season, posting a .819 OPS.
Adames has really struggled as of late, however, he does have HR-upside at the minimum price and has been much better vs. RHP, posting a .280 average & .777 OPS.
Jorge Soler has been on a tear this season as he comes into this game with 27 HR’s & 72 RBI’s and gets a decent match-up agianst the RHP Zack Plesac in which he is 2 for 3 with a HR in his career against.
Dominic Smith has had a solid season for the Mets, coming into this game with a .283 average with 10 HR’s while posting a solid .900 OPS vs. RHP. Smith has a decent match-up agianst Dario Agrazal who although has pitched well, doesn’t have an over-powering arsenal.
Rounding out our team, we’re going to go with Seattle’s Tom Murphy who should be hitting clean-up in a decent match-up agianst the LHP Daniel Norris of the Detroit Tigers. Murphy has been solid as of late, hitting .308 over the past week, and has been outstanding vs. LHP’s this season, posting a .323 average & .962 OPS.
