Monday, July 29, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
Hope everyone is having a good start to their weeks.
Let’s take a look at our initial lineup for tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 7 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound tonight, I’m going to pay up for Sonny Gray of the Cincinnati Reds who comes into this game with a solid 3.29 ERA & 1.13 WHIP on the season. Gray has posted an incredible 1.89 ERA in his three starts since the All-Star Break and has had no trouble against the Pittsburgh Pirates this season, as over his three starts agianst the Pirates this season, he has put up 2.35 ERA with 14 K’s in 15.1 IP. Gray is holding his opponents to a .215 average this season and has been incredibly tough vs. LHB’s, holding them to just a .193 average.
On the offensive side of the ball, I’m going to stick with the PIT/CIN game and have a 3-man stack of Reds in their match-up agianst the RHP Alex McRae of the Pirates. McRae will be making a spot start for the Pirates after Pittsburgh traded away their original starter, Jordan Lyles, to the Milwaukee earlier today. McRae has struggled in his 14.0 IP this season, posting a 7.71 ERA & 1.64 WHIP while allowing LHB’s to post a .345 average & 1.096 OPS.
For the Reds, we’re stacking Joey Votto, Scooter Gennett, & Jesse Winker.
We also have a 4-man stack of Los Angeles Angles tonight in their match-up agianst the RHP Jordan Zimmerman of the Detroit Tigers. Zimmerman comes into this game with just a 7.57 ERA & 1.71 WHIP on the season and has really struggled recently as in his three starts since the All-Star break, the veteran RHP has put up a 12.75 ERA while allowing opponents to hit .397 against him. Zimmerman is allowing both LHB’s & RHB’s to hit over .300 agianst him on the season and is allowing the current Angels lineup to hit .312 against him.
For the Angels, we have Matt Thaiss, Shohei Ohtani, Kole Calhoun, & Justin Upton.
Rounding out the team, we’re going to with the Dodgers Corey Seager in his match-up at Coors Field agianst the RHP Jon Gray. Seager has been swinging a hot bat as of late, hitting .353 over the past week, and has always fared well against Gray, putting up a career .375 average/1.149 OPS in 16 career AB’s vs. the RHP.
