Happy Wednesday and hopefully everyone is off work and has starting enjoying their 4th of July!
Disappointing night last night as although the weather looked like it was going to be enough to get the game in after a delay, they decided to postpone the game which obviously killed our lineup as we went with Lopez for a value pitcher last night.
Let’s get back to the winner’s circle as we take a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel slate that features 14 games and starts at 7:05pm.
I’m keeping this write-up pretty short as I’m still at work and want to get home in time to make any last minute’s updates if needed, although with the match-ups we’re targeting, we know everyone is starting and that not of these games should be affected by the weather.
On the mound, we’re going with some value in Minnesota’s Kyle Gibson in his match-up against the Oakland Athletics. Gibson has been solid in two of his last three starts, putting up 52-point & 36-point performances and I don’t mind him going up an Oakland team that ranks just 25th in team batting average vs. RHP (.237 average). Gibson has some decent K-upside as he ahs a 9.03 K/9 ratio and as a hole has been decent this season as he is holding opponents to a .252 average.
With the money we’ve saved on Gibson, we’re focusing on getting as much action on the offensive end with COL, HOU, & ATL.
Colorado will be up against Wade Miley tonight who I’m not afraid to target RHB’s against him despite him having a solid season. Miley has allowed opponents to hit .308 in his career at Coors Field and as he can give up some HR’s (1.32 HR/9 ratio) I’m going to target both Trevor Story & Ian Desmond tonight.
We’re staying in this match-up as we certainly want some action with Houston as they will be up against the RHP Peter Lambert who is currently has a 6.57 ERA and just allowed 4 HR’s against the Dodgers in his last start at Coors Field. Lambert has really struggled against LHB’s as they are currently hitting .348 against him while posting a 1.184 OPS.
For the Astros, we’re going with some solid LHB’s in Josh Reddick & Michael Brantley while also throwing in Tyler White who has good value and HR upside.
For the Braves, we love their match-up against Nick Pivetta who has really struggled all season and as allowed at least 7 hits & 4 ER’s in each of his last 3 starts. Pivetta comes into this game with a 5.63 ERA & 1.52 WHIP on the season and has been giving up HR’s in bunches as he currently has a 2.25 HR/9 ratio.
For the Braves, we’re going with Ozzie Albies, Josh Donaldson, & Austin Riley.
Thanks for following as always and don't forget to follow me on Twitter (@BrettCU05) as that is where I can't post list minute changes if needed!
Good Luck tonight!
