Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday!

Let’s take a look at our initial lineup for tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 14 games and starts at 7:05pm.

On the mound tonight, we’re going to go with the RHP Yu Darvish of the Chicago Cubs in his match-up on the road vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. Darvish has been lights out since the All-Star break, posting a 2.00 ERA while holding his opponents to just a .161 average in 18.0 IP. Darvish has gone at least 6.0 IP in 7 of his last 8 starts and still is striking out people at a solid 10.33 K/9 ratio. St. Louis ranks just 19th in team batting average vs. RHP (.245 average) and has struggled against Darvish as a team as the current roster has posted just a .235 average with 20 K’s in 51 total AB’s.

We spent up on a 2-man stack of New York Yankees in their match-up agianst the RHP Taylor Clarke of the Arizona Diamondbacks at Yankee Stadium. Clarke has really struggled this season as he comes into this game with a 6.10 ERA & 1.53 WHIP and has been hurt by the HR-ball as he currently has a 2.26 HR/9 ratio. Clarke has allowed opponents to post a .293 average, .590 slugging percentage, & .950 OPS agianst him on the season.

For the Yankees, we’re going to go with Didi Gregorius & Aaron Hicks.

Staying in this match-up, we’re going to go with the switch-hitting Ketel Marte in his match-up against the LHP J.A. Happ of the New York Yankees. It’s been a long season for Happ as he comes into this game with a 5.23 ERA & 1.34 WHIP and has a 2.0 HR/9 ratio on the season. Marte has had a breakout season as the 4-year veteran is hitting .320 with 23 HR’s and has been on fire in the month of July, hitting .363. Marte has been outstanding vs. LHP as he is posting a .325 average & 1.004 OPS.

We also have a 2-man stack of Los Angeles Dodgers in their solid match-up against the LHP Kyle Freeman of the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. It’s been a long season for Freeman as he is coming into this match-up with a 7.00 ERA & 1.58 WHIP. Freeman has posted a 9.55 ERA while allowing opponents to hit .338 against him at home this season. Freeman has also been hurt by the long ball this season as he currently sports a 2.09 HR/9 ratio.

For the Dodgers, we are going with two solid RHB’s in A.J. Pollock & Justin Turner.

We have some value at the C/1B position in Ryan O’Hearn who recently returned the MLB’s after a tough start of his season lead to a 6-week tripe to the minors to work things out. O’Hearn has a decent match-up against the RHP Sean Reid-Foley of the Blue Jays and was solid vs. RHB’s last season, posting a .313 average/1.108 OPS.

Staying in this match-up, I’m paying up for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. tonight who had a match-up agianst the LHP Mike Montgomery of the Kansas City Royals. Montgomery has allowed 6 ER’s over 7 IP (2 HR’s) since being acquired by the Royals a few weeks ago and is allowing opponents to post a .336 average/1.015 OPS.

Rounding out our team, we’re going to go with the RHB Tyler Austin of the Giants in his match-up vs. the LHP Drew Smyly of the Phillies. It hasn’t been a great season for Austin, however, he does have 8 HR’s and certainly has some HR-upside in this match-up as Smyly has allowed his opponents to post a .975 OPS on the season and currently has a 2.98 HR/9 ratio.
