We continue with our recent hot streak as we cashed in our 3rd straight GPP & 50/50’s this afternoon with a solid 158.40 point-performance!
Let’s keep it going as we take a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 6-games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound tonight, we’re going to save some salary and go with the RHP Asher Wojciechowski of the Baltimore Orioles in his match-up vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. Wojciechowski has been outstanding this season (6 games; 5 starts) as he comes into this game with a 3.60 ERA & 0.93 WHIP and has been even more impressive as of late as over his last two starts (vs. BOS & LAA) he has allowed just 2 ER’s while striking out 16 over 14.1 IP. Wojciechowski has used his outstanding slider to help post an impressive 11.10 K/9 ratio and I like his match-up tonight against the Blue Jays who rank just 29th in team batting average vs. RHP (.228) and 20th in team strikeout rate (9.05 K/game).
With the money we’re saving with Wojciechowski, we’re going to pay-up for an expensive 4-man Red Sox stack tonight agianst the LHP Brandon McKay of the Tampa Rays. McKay is coming off his toughest start in his young MLB career agianst the White Sox’s as he lasted just 3.1 innings while allowing 5 ER’s on 9 hits. McKay certainly has talent, however, this will be his toughest test to date, and I think the RHB’s of the Red Sox will get to him at Fenway tonight.
For the Red Sox, we’re going with the power RHB’s of Michael Chavis, Xander Bogaerts, J.D. Martinez, & Mookie Betts.
We’re going to want Baltimore to get some run support for Wojciechowski tonight and I think we have some solid upside in both Renato Nunez & Jonathan Villar against the RHP Trent Thornton. Thornton has struggled this season, posting a 5.45 ERA & 1.54 WHIP, while allowing opponents to hit .355 against him over his 4 starts in July.
Nunez has been solid as of late and love his upside as he has already 25 HR’s this season. Villar has been on a tear as of late, hitting .464 over the past week, and has been much better vs. RHP this season.
We’re getting some nice value with the rookie Will Smith of the Dodgers who over his first 13 games in the majors, has posted a .333 average with 5 HR’s & 15 RBI’s. Smith will be up against the LHP Joey Lucchesi who had allowed 12 of his 14 HR’s to come against RHB’s.
Rounding out the team, we’re going with a value play in the Cardinals Yairo Munoz who I think has some solid value batting out of the 6-hole today agianst the LHP Jon Lester of the Cubs. Munoz has shown upside recently as over the past two weeks has put up games of 43.4 & 36.9 FanDuel points as we know Lester can be prone to giving up HR’s, I don’t mind taking a show with Munoz at just $2,200.
