DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 8/12/19
Monday, August 12, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
Hope everyone is having a great start to their weeks!
Just as a heads up, I’m moving later this week so I’m going to out between this Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th.
Let’s get this week started out right as we take a look at tonight’s lineup for the MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 8 games and starts at 7:05pm.
Please note, the weather doesn’t look great in the HOU/CWS game and I’m going to stay away from that match-up all together.
On the mound tonight, we’re going to go with the LHP Joey Lucchesi of the San Diego Padres in his match-up agianst the Tampa Bay Rays. Lucchesi has been solid this season as he comes into this game with a 4.19 ERA & 1.18 WHIP while holding opponents to just a .227 average. Lucchesi has decent strikeout upside as he comes into this game with an 8.75 K/9 ratio while racking up 8 K’s in two of his last three starts.
On the offensive end, we’re going to go with a 3-man stack of New York Yankees in their match-up agianst the Baltimore Orioles LHP Ty Blach. In his limited action this season (6.1 IP), Blach has been crushed as he comes into this game with a 14.21 ERA & 2.84 WHIP. Blach is allowing opponents to post a .438 average/1.188 OPS agianst him on the season and as it doesn’t get much better for the Orioles once they get into their bullpen, I think the Yankees are the stack to own tonight.
For the Yankees, we are going with Gleyber Torres, Aaron Judge, & Cameron Maybin.
We have a 2-man stack of Toronto Blue Jays in Justin Smoak & Randal Grichuk in their match-up agianst the RHP Ariel Jurado of the Texas Rangers. Jurado is a reverse splits pitcher who has really struggled against RHB’s this season, allowing them to post a .292 average/.845 OPS.
We have a 2-man stack of Washington Nationals in their match-up agianst the RHP Anthony DeSclafani of the Reds. DeSclafani has had a solid year, however, he still struggles agianst LHB’s (.295 average/.916 OPS). Adams has great HR-upside and I just think at $3,500, Trea Turner brings to much upside.
Rounding out the team we’re going with Nolan Arenado of the Rockies in his home match-up against Merrill Kelly in which is 3 for 5 with a 2B & HR in his career agianst.
