Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday. We’re going to probably need to get some production with our 3 players in the PHI/MIA game to cash in our 50/50’s for the “Very Early Only” slate, however, I still have hope!

Let’s check out who we’re going with in tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” Lineup that features 9 games and starts at 7:05pm.

On the mound, we’re going to pay up for Cleveland’s RHP Mike Clevinger in his home match-up agianst the Kansas City Royals. Clevinger is once again having an outstanding season, showing that he is true top of the rotation pitcher, as he comes into this game with a 3.11 ERA & 1.12 WHIP while holding his opponents to a .218 average/.633 OPS. Clevinger has an insane 13.06 K/9 ratio and has dominated the Royals in his two starts against him this season, posting a 0.69 ERA with 16 K’s over 13.0 IP.

On the offensive end, even through we spent up on Clevinger tonight, I’m not holding back getting a solid 4-man stack of the Minnesota Twins in their home match-up against the RHP Edwin Jackson of the Detroit Tigers. Edwin Jackson has pitched better as of late, but don’t get fooled, Jackson is well past his prime and still comes into this game with an 8.46 ERA & 1.88 WHIP. Jackson is allowing his opponents to post a .337 average/1.083 OPS and is allowing the current Twins roster to hit .295 against him.

For the Twins, we’re going with Luis Arraez, Miguel Sano, Jorge Polanco, & Nelson Cruz.

We’re going to have to go with value bats the rest of the way and it starts with a 2-man stack of Cincinnati Reds bats in Josh VanMeter & Phillip Ervin in their match-up against the RHP Trevor Williams of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It’s been a struggle for Williams this season as he comes into this game with a 5.65 ERA & 1.45 WHIP while allowing at least 5 ER’s in each of his last three starts. Williams is allowing his opponents to post a .290 average/.870 OPS and has posted a 6.99 ERA in 9 home starts this season.

I don’t mind rolling the dice with Cleveland’s Tyler Naquin in his match-up against the RHP Glenn Sparkman of the Kansas City Royals. Sparkman comes into this game with a 5.40 ERA & 1.43 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .286 average/.839 OPS. Sparkman has struggled in his career against the Indians while Naquin is 3 for 8 lifetime with a HR agianst the right-hander.

Rounding out the team will be the Tampa Bay Rays Matt Duffy in his match-up agianst the LHP John Means of the Baltimore Orioles. Means has struggled in August as he has posted an 8.76 ERA and has only last past the 4th inning once in each of his last 4 starts. Duffy has been injured for most of the season and is only hitting .244 on the season, however, I like the value he brings at just $2,400 while leading off for the Rays.
