It’s been a slow week for us, but we had a monster afternoon today in the MLB FanDuel “Early Only” slate as we currently have posted a 248.4-point performance which is going to have us easily cashing in both our 50/50’s & GPP’s.

Let’s keep the momentum going as we take a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 6-games and starts at 7:10pm.

Just to note, this is more of a GPP lineup tonight!

On the mound, I had Jason DeGrom all day, but I have decided that I wanted to get plenty of exposure in the PIT/COL game so I’m going with value in Jon Lester. Lester isn’t have a great season as he comes into this game with a 4.49 ERA & 1.45 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .288 average/.800 OPS agianst him on the season.  Although Lester doesn’t have huge upside, I think he has solid value as a rough month of August currently has his price tag at just $6,600. Lester has a good history against the Mets as over his last 6 starts, he has posted a solid 3.86 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 35.0 innings and I think Lester will be able to do enough tonight to get us 5x value with a 35-40 point performance.

On the offensive end, we’re going to start off with a 4-man stack of the Colorado Rockies in their match-up at Coors Field against the RHP Trevor Williams of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Williams is coming off one of his best starts of the season agianst the Cincinnati, however, it’s been a tough year for the RHP as he comes into this game with a 5.35 ERA & 1.41 WHIP. Williams is allowing his opponents to post a .284 average/.848 OPS and has really struggled vs. LHB’s, allowing them to post a .337 average/.958 OPS. Williams doesn’t have strikeout stuff as he is posting just a 6.71 K/9 ratio this season and as he has allowed 12 HR’s over his last 9 starts, I think the Rockies have a big night at the plate.

For the Rockies, I’m going with Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story, Charlie Blackmon, & Sam Hillard.

For the Pirates, we couldn’t afford a stack, but we did make room for Starling Marte in his match-up agianst Chi Chi Gonzalez of the Rockies. Gonzalez comes into this game with a 6.43 ERA & 1.63 WHIP on the season while posting a 2.06 HR/9 ratio on the season, which is concerning as 26 of his 35 IP have been away from Coors Field.

Marte is having a solid season as he comes into this game with a .293 average with 23 HR’s, 77 RBI’s, & 24 SB’s and has been on fire as of last, hitting .367 over the past week.

I’m going with Garrett Cooper at C/1B as I don’t mind taking a chance with him in his match-up against the LHP Alex Wood of the Cincinnati Reds. Wood has really struggled this season, coming into this game with a 6.07 ERA/1.42 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .294 average/.910 OPS. Cooper has shown some HR pop this season as he comes in with 12 HR’s and has a respectable .289 average at home this season.

I needed to get some action agianst Seattle’s Felix Hernandez and I’m not passing up on the value that Nick Solak brings at just $2,900. Hernandez comes in with a 6.09 ERA & 1.44 WHIP while posting a 2.23 HR/9 ratio. Hernandez has struggled vs. both LHB’s & RHB’s and is allowing his opponents to post a .294 average/.902 OPS. Solak has been impressive in his 9 games at the MLB level as he comes into this game with a .357 average with 1 HR & 3 RBI’s. Solak has been solid vs. RHP’s, posting a .353 average/1.005 OPS.

Rounding out the team, I’m going with Cincinnati’s Josh VanMeter who is leading off tonight agianst the RHP Robert Dugger of the Marlins. Dugger struggled in his only MLB start earlier this month as he lasted just 5 innings against the Mets while allowing 6 ER’s on 5 hits (2 HR’s). VanMeter has been solid for the Reds this season and has been solid against RHP’s, posting a .295 average/.858 OPS.
