DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 8/30/19
Friday, August 30, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
Update (5:38 PM) - Hi Everyone. Had to make some changes as Blackmon, Toro, & Garver all are getting a night off tonight!
We keep a 3-man COL stack as know we have McMahon, Story, & Hillard. We added Josh Bell at C/1B as he has crushed RHP to the tune of a 1.020 OPS and should have no problem squaring one up against Antonio Senzatela. We added Yordan Alvarez of the Astros as I needed some action against Trent Thornton. We went some extreme value with Sheldon Neuse who just got called up from Triple-AAA after hitting .317 w/ 27 HR's in the minors this season and Gerardo Parra who has some value hitting out the 2-hole tonight for the Nationals agianst Elieser Hernandez of the Marlins.
Image is updated. Good Luck!
We couldn’t get it down last night as although we got a solid outing by Jon Lester, we picked the wrong stack in the COL/PIT game as our Rockies bats outside of Sam Hillard were disappointing and our 120.2-point performance fell short of both our 50/50’s & GPP’s.
The good news, is that we absolutely crushed the “Early Only” slate as our 248.4-point performance had us cashing big in GPP’s and easily in the 50/50’s. The GPP’s wins helped offset a slow start to the week!
Let’s take a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that starts at 7:05pm and features 14 games!
On the mound, we’re going to go with some value in the Rangers LHP Kolby Allard in his home match-up against the Seattle Mariners. Allard is coming off his best start of the season against the White Sox (6.1 IP, 0 ER, 8 K) and comes into this match-up with a 4.64 ERA & 1.31 WHIP over 21.1 IP this season. Allard is holding opponents to a .235 average/.661 OPS and has been decent when it comes to strikeouts as he is currently posting a 9.70 K/9 ratio. Allard has great value tonight as I love his match-up against the LHB-heavy lineup of the Seattle Mariners who comes into this game ranked 26th in team batting average (.242 average) vs. LHP’s & 28th in team strikeout rate (9.71 K’s/game).
We’re going right back to a Colorado Rockies stack as I think they’ll have more success tonight against the RHP Dario Agrazal of the Pirates. Agrazal comes into this game with a respectable 4.41 ERA & 1.29 WHIP, however, has struggled in the month of August posting a 6.75 ERA and will be making his first appearance at Coors Field. The Rockies should be putting plenty of baseball in play tonight as Agrazal doesn’t really have any put away pitches (4.59 K/9 ratio) and is allowing opponents to post a .810 OPS against him on the season.
For the Rockies, we’re going to go with Trevor Story, Charlie Blackmon, & Sam Hillard.
We’re also going to go with a 3-man stack of Minnesota Twins in their match-up against the RHP Edwin Jackson of the Minnesota Twins tonight. Edwin Jackson has had a tough season as he comes into this game with an 8.70 ERA & 1.87 WHIP and recently struggled against the Twins as in his last start, he allowed 6 ER’s on 7 hits (2 HR’s) in 5.0 IP. Jackson is allowing his opponents to post a .335 average/1.080 OPS and has really struggle against RHB’s, allowing them to post a .379 average/1.180 OPS over 116 AB’s.
For the Twins, we’re going to go with C.J. Cron, Luis Arraez, & Mitch Garver.
We’re going right back to Houston’s Abraham Toro as I he still has too much value at just $2,400 in a solid match-up against Trent Thornton of the Toronto Blue Jays. Thornton comes into this game with a 5.34 ERA & 1.52 WHIP on the season while allowing opponents to post a .276 average/.820 OPS. Thornton has really struggled with HR’s as he comes into this game with a 1.59 HR/9 ratio on the season and has allowed 6 HR’s over his last 19.2 IP.
Toro was outstanding in Triple-AAA this season, posting a .324 average with 17 HR’s. and broke out in a big way yesterday after noon as he went 1 for 2 w/ a HR, 3 BB, 2 R, & an RBI.
Rounding out our team, we’re paying up for J.D. Martinez in his match-up against the LHP Jose Suarez of the Los Angeles Angels. Suarez is still getting starts for the Angels due to the amount of injuries their starting rotation has suffered, however, he won’t be starting for much longer as the rookie LHP comes into this game with a 6.67 ERA & 1.71 WHIP on the season. Suarez is allowing opponents to post a .313 average/.940 OPS on the season and has really struggled against RHB’s, allowing them to post a .352 average/1.038 OPS.
J.D. Martinez has been on fire as of late, hitting .429 with 4 HR’s over the past week and comes into this game with an incredible .397 average/1.340 OPS vs. LHP on the season.
