Let’s take a look at who we have going for our MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” lineup that features 9 games and starts at 7:05pm.

I’m going with value on the mound tonight as I’m rostering San Francisco’s RHB Logan Webb in his match-up agianst the San Diego Padres at Oracle Park. Webb was the top pitching prospect in the Giants organization prior to being called up recently and was very successful in the minors this season as over 12 games pitched in the minors this season, Webb sported a 1.85 ERA while striking out 69 hitters over 63.1 IP. Webb struggled a bit in his recent start agianst Oakland, however, looked sharp in his MLB debut against Arizona, allowing just 1 ER while striking out 7 in 5.0 IP. Webb features a solid mid-90’s fastball and a sharp slider and I think he’ll be able to put up some solid numbers agianst San Diego team that ranks 27th in team strikeout rate (9.66 K’s/game).

With the money we’re saving with going with Logan Webb, we’re going with a full 4-man stack of the Pittsburgh Pirates in their match-up against the RHP Tim Melville of the Colorado Rockies. Melville has been solid in his two starts this season, however, I don’t expect that to continue as this is a pitcher that has a career 6.41 ERA & 1.88 WHIP and didn’t preform well in the minors this season, posting a 5.42 ERA while allowing 113 hits (24 HR’s) over just 96.1 IP.

For the Pirates, we’re going to go with Josh Bell, Jose Osuna, Kevin Newman, & Starling Marte.

Staying in this match-up, we’re going to pay up for the Rockies Charlie Blackmon in his match-up against Joe Musgrove of the Pirates. Musgrove has struggled in the month of August as he has posted a 6.67 ERA while allowing 8 HR’s in his five starts. Musgrove has struggled much more agianst LHB’s this season, allowing them to post a .273 average/.806 OPS.

Blackmon is hitting an incredible .400 with 19 HR’s at Coors Field this season and has a .323 average/.959 OPS vs. RHP on the season.

I’m paying up a bit for the Rangers Nick Solak who I like hitting clean-up tonight in a solid match-up agianst the LHP Tommy Milone of the Mariners. Milone comes into this game with a 5.08 ERA and has allowed 3 HR’s in two of his last four starts. Solak has been solid since being called up as he comes into this game with a .361 average with a HR & 3 RBI’s in his first 11 MLB games and has a .400 average/1.100 OPS in 15 AB’s vs. LHP.

I have a complete “punt” play in the Orioles Stevie Wilkerson in his match-up against the RHP Jorge Lopez of the Royals. Lopez has struggled this season, coming into this game with a 6.56 ERA & 1.52 WHIP while allowing LHB’s to post a .339 average/.979 OPS. Wilkerson is a switch hitter that has 9 of 10 HR’s vs. RHB’s and has fared well agianst Kansas City this season in his limited opponents as he is 4 for 8 with 2 BB.

Rounding out our team with by Ryan O’Hearn of the Royals in his match-up agianst Dylan Bundy of the Orioles. Bundy certainly can be HR prone and I think at $2,600, O’Hearn provides great HR-upside as he seems to finally have found his swing as he is hitting .350 with 3 HR’s over the past week.
