Update (5:52 PM) - Hi Everyone! had to make some adjustments as JD Martinez is a late scratch. I adjusted the offense and going with a 4-man CIN stack, 3-man BOS stack w/ Yelich! Good Luck!
Hope everyone is having a great start to their weeks.
After a solid week last week, we had a couple of lack-luster performances this weekend, however, I’m confident we’re going to get back on track tonight! Let’s take a look at our lineup for the MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 13 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound tonight, we’re going to pay up a bit for the RHP Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox in his great match-up agianst the Detroit Tigers. Giolito has been outstanding this season as he comes into this game with a 3.39 ERA & 1.11 WHIP while racking up an impressive 150 K’s over 124.2 IP. Giolito has yet to face the Tigers this season however, you have to love this matchup as he is holding opponents to just a .206 average/.627 OPS while the Tigers rank 30th in team batting average vs. RHP (.227 average) & 29th in team strikeout rate (9.84 K’s/game).
On the offensive side, we’re going to start with a value stack of Cincinnati Reds in their match-up agianst the LHP Patrick Sandoval who will be making his MLB Debut. Sandoval has struggled in Triple-AAA this season as in 15 starts, he has posted 6.41 ERA while allowing 84 hits over 60.1 IP. Sandoval has some decent strikeout numbers in the minors, but seems to also struggle with his control as he has a 5.2 BB9.
For the Reds, we’re going with some solid value in Jose Peraza & Aristides Aquino while paying up for Eugenio Suarez.
We have a solid 2-man stack of Milwaukee Brewers in their match-up agianst the RHP Dario Agrazal of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Agrazal isn’t much of a threat to make hitters swing & miss as he has just a 4.38 K/9 ratio and has really struggled recently as he has allowed 8 ER’s (5 HR’s) over his last two starts.
For the Brewers, we’re going with Yasmani Grandal & Christian Yelich.
We’re also going with a 2-man stack of the Boston Red Sox in their match-up against the LHP Mike Montgomery of the Kansas City Royals. It’s been a struggle for Montgomery as he has posted a 6.34 ERA on the season while posting an even worse 7.94 ERA since being acquired by Kansas City. Montgomery has been hit hard all season as he comes into this game allowing his opponents to post a .340 average/.992 OPS.
For the Red Sox, we’re going with a couple of RHB’s in J.D. Martinez & Sam Travis.
Rounding out the team, we needed to get some action with the Yankees in their solid match-up against the RHP Gabriel Ynoa of the Baltimore Orioles. Yona comes into this game with a 5.55 ERA & 1.42 WHIP and I image the Yankees will also see plenty of the Orioles bullpen who comes into this game with a 5.71 ERA.
For the Yankees, we’re going with Didi Gregorius who is hitting .342 in away games and has a .300 average at Camden Yards over his last three seasons.
