Hope everything is enjoying their Friday’s!
We fell just short of our GPP’s last night, but our 171.8-point performance did have us cashing in the majority of our 50/50’s!
Let’s end the week on the right note as we take a look at tonight’s MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” that features 14 games and starts at 7:05pm.
We’ve been paying up for pitchers as of late and although I do like some of the high-priced pitchers match-ups tonight, I’m going with value with the White Sox’s Dylan Cease in his match-up agianst the Detroit Tigers. Cease has struggled over all in his first season in the majors coming in with just a 6.18 ERA & 1.58 WHIP, however, the upside is there as he displayed in his 11-K performance against Cleveland a few starts ago. The match-up couldn’t get much better as the Tigers rank just 29th in team batting average vs. RHP & 30th in team strikeout rate (9.95 K’s/game) and as long Cease can somewhat manage his pitch-count, I think he has 40-50 point upside tonight in this matchup at Comerica Park.
On the offensive end, we’re going to start with a 2-man White Sox stack as we are rooting for Dylan Cease to get some run support and love the White Sox’s match-up agianst the RHP Jordan Zimmerman. Zimmerman comes into his game with a 6.32 ERA & 1.44 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .300 average/.848 OPS agianst him. Zimmerman allowed 5 ER’s on 6 hits (1 HR) in his only start agianst the White Sox this season and has really had a hard time with LHB’s, allowing them to post a .343 average/.974 OPS agianst him.
For the White Sox, we’re going with Yoan Moncada & Eloy Jimenez.
We’re paying up for a big 4-man stack of Minnesota Twins as we love their match-up against the LHP Eric Skoglund of the Kansas City Royals. Skoglund comes into this game with an 8.36 ERA & 1.79 WHIP over his 14.0 IP this season. Skoglund is allowing opponents to post a .310 average/.940 OPS against him on the season and has been equally bad vs. LHB’s & RHB’s as they are both hitting over .300 against him.
For the Twins, we’re targeting Mitch Garver, Jorge Polanco, Nelson Cruz, & Miguel Sano.
Rounding out our team, we’re going with a 2-man stack of Seattle Mariners in Shed Long & Kyle Lewis in their match-up against the LHP Richard Bleier of the Baltimore Orioles. It looks like it’s going to be a bullpen game for the Orioles today which fairs well for the Mariners as the Orioles has had one of the worst bullpens in MLB. Bleier has been solid as of late, however, it’s still be a struggle for him this season as he comes into this game with a 5.63 ERA & 1.40 WHIP.
Long is hitting an incredible .429 over the past week with 2 HR’s and has been outstanding in his limited AB’s vs. LHP (23 AB’s) posting a .391 average/1.114 OPS.
Lewis is hitting .306 with 5 HR’s over his first 9 MLB games and I think his hot start continues tonight in Baltimore.
