DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 9/27/19
Friday, September 27, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
Hope everyone has had a great Friday!
Let’s take a look at tonight MLB FanDuel “Main Slate” Lineup that features 14 games and starts at 7:05pm.
On the mound, I’m going with the Yankees James Paxton in what should be an outstanding match-up against the Texas Rangers. Paxton had a slow start to his season, however, has been outstanding as of late, and comes into this game with a 3.73 ERA & 1.27 WHIP while holding his opponents to a .239 average/.722 OPS. Paxton has allowed just 3 ER’s over his last five starts (29.2 IP) while striking out 33 opponents in that time period. Paxton was lights out recently agianst the Rangers as he put up a 67-point performance agianst them at home (7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 12K) and although he might be limited a bit tonight, I think he can still get us a quality start, win, & 10 K’s.
On the offensive side, I’m going to start off with a stack of Tampa Bay Rays in their match-up agianst T.J. Zeuch of the Toronto Blue Jays. Zeuch hasn’t been anything more than average in his 4 appearances for the Blue Jays this season as they come into this game with a 4.58 ERA & 1.47 WHIP. Zeuch has struggled agianst LHB’s as in 32 AB’s vs. LHB’s, he is allowing them to post a .313 average.
For the Rays, we’re going with a full 4-man stack of LHB’s in Brandon Lowe, Austin Meadows, Kevin Kiermaier & Nate Lowe.
The Red Sox’s were shut down by Asher Wojciechowski earlier this season, however, I think they’ll have more success agianst him tonight as Wojciechowski could struggle as a fly-ball pitcher with a 2.0 HR/9 ratio at Fenway tonight. For the Red Sox, I’m going with Xander Bogaerts who has had his best offensive season with the Red Sox coming into this game with a .305 average with 32 HR’s & 113 RBI’s and has been better against RHP’s, posting a .315 average/.950 OPS.
I was talking with a friend who was Philadelphia Phillies fan the other day about how the Phillies probably didn’t envision having Brad Miller hitting clean-up for them in September. Well….Miller must have heard me as ended up hitting 2 HR’s agianst Scherzer and follow-up that performance with another HR the following night. Miller is hitting .280 with 5 HR’s over the past week and I think he has solid value at just $2,300 in his match-up agianst Pablo Lopez tonight.
Speaking about value, I think we get have some in the Reds Phillip Ervin as he is hitting 2nd tonight in a match-up agianst the LHP Steven Brault of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Brault has struggled as of late, allowing 19 ER’s over his last three starts (13.1 IP) including 5 HR’s to Cubs just two starts ago. Brault is allowing RHB’s to post a .831 OPS agianst him on the season which should bode well for Ervin who has posted a .345 average/1.033 OPS vs. LHP on the season.
Rounding out the team, I needed to get some action with the Milwaukee Brewers and going with the LHB Eric Thames in his match-up against the RHP Antonio Senzatela of the Rockies. Senzatela comes into this game with just a 6.90 ERA & 1.76 WHIP on the season while allowing opponents to post a .314 average agianst him. Thames has huge HR-upside and as Senzatela is not a pitcher that piles up many K’s, I think Thames will have a good opportunity to send one out in the thin Colorado air.
I will be out and about tonight, so if I need to make any updates, please make sure you follow me on Twitter (@BrettCU05) as this will be the only way I’ll be able to make any needed updates!
Good Luck with your lineups tonight!
