DFS - Fantasy Baseball - MLB Fanduel Lineup - Main Slate (7:05 PM) - 9/4/19
Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 6:05 PM (N/A)
We continued our strong start to the week as our 164.9-point performance has us cashing in both our 50/50’s & GPP’s for the 2nd consecutive night.
On the mound, we’re going to see a high ownership with Shane Bieber’s match-up in his match-up agianst the White Sox, however, I’m going to go with more value today and roster Kansas City’s Jakob Junis in his match-up against the Detroit Tigers. Bieber has some huge upside and is probably the safe play, however, he actually has struggled in his two starts against the White Sox this season, posting a 5.68 ERA over 12.2 IP. Junis has been nothing more than average this season, posting a 4.93 ERA & 1.39 WHIP, however, has posted a respectable 3.32 ERA over three starts with 19 K’s in 19.0 IP. Junis is holding the current Tigers lineup to just a .238 average/.641 OPS and the match-up doesn’t get much better as the Tigers rank 29th in team batting average vs. RHP (.233 average) and 30th in team strikeout rate (10.04 K’s game).
Another reason why I’m going with Junis is that you have to love the Royals match-up agianst the RHP Edwin Jackson who comes into this game with a 9.35 ERA & 1.98 WHIP while allowing opponents to post a .347 average/1.093 OPS. Jackson has allowed 16 ER’s on 21 hits over his last 12.1 IP and has struggled against both LHB’s (.308 average/1.006 OPS) & RHB’s (.380 average/1.169 OPS).
For the Royals, we’re going to go with a 4-man stack of Ryan O’Hearn, Whit Merrifield, Adalberto Mondesi, & Jorge Soler.
We have a 2-man stack of Los Angels Dodgers in Cody Bellinger & Gavin Lux in their match-up against the RHP Antonio Senzatela of the Colorado Rockies. Senzatela comes into this game with a 6.95 ERA/1.79 WHIP and as allowed 33 ER’s over his last five starts. Senzatela is allowing opponents to post a .316 average/.893 OPS and has especially struggled against LHB’s, allowing them to post a .350 average/.990 OPS.
Bellinger is putting up an MVP numbers this season, posting a .309 average w/ 44 HR’s & 103 RBI’s and has posted a .318 average/1.088 OPS vs. RHB’s this season.
Lux has gone 3 for 9 over his first two MLB games and I’m going right back him as he still is great value at just $2,500 and posted outstanding numbers in the minors this season (.347 average, 26 HR, 76 RBI).
I’m going to go with Yoan Moncada tonight, even in his tough match-up against the Indians Shane Bieber, as he has dominated the tough RHP throughout his career, going 5 for 9 with 2 HR’s. Bieber has been outstanding, however, he has allowed 26 HR’s on the season and between the fact that Moncada has posted a .309 average/.934 OPS vs. RHP’s and has had a much better approach at the plate this season, I think he is a great value at just $2,900.
Rounding out the team, will be the Giants Mike Yastrzemski in his match-up against the RHP Michael Wacha of the St. Louis Cardinals. Wacha has struggled this season, posting a 5.07 ERA & 1.55 WHIP and is allowing opponents to post a .873 OPS (4 HR’s over his last two starts). Yastrzemski has a been a bright spot of the Giants offense this season, posting 18 HR’s and has been solid as of late, posting a .313 average over the past week.
