Hope everyone is having a good Thursday.
Here is my initial lineup for tonight’s FanDuel MLB “Main Slate” that features 6 games and starts at 7:10pm.
We’re showing our apartment today in about 30 minutes, so I’m keeping this write-up short and to the point!
On the mound, we’re once again going with value with the Angels LHP Jose Suarez in his solid match-up at home agianst the Orioles. Baltimore has been able to put up some runs as of late, however, this is still not a great hitting team as they come into this game ranked 26th in team batting average (.242 average) 28th in “away” batting average (.235 average). Suarez hasn’t been outstanding since being called up to the bigs, however, I like him tonight due to his strikeout upside as currently he has an impressive 10.19 K/9 ratio. This pick is certainly risky, however, I think Suarez can get through at least 5 IP tonight and rake up 6-9 K’s which will more than his value.
On the offensive side, we’re leading off with a 3-man NYY stack of Gleyber Torres, Didi Gregorius, & Mike Tauchman in their solid match-up at the hitters friendly Fenway Park against a struggling Rick Porcello.
We’re paying up for the big bats of Shohei Ohtani & Mike Trout of the Angels against the RHP Tom Eshelman of the Orioles who comes into this game with a 6.91 ERA and is allowing LHB’s to post a .939 OPS.
We have J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox who faces the RHP Masahiro Tanaka in which he is 8 for 18 with 3 HR’s against in his career.
Rounding out the team will be a 2-man stack of Seattle Mariners in Daniel Vogelbach & Kyle Seager and the RHP Drew VerHagen who in his limited time out of the bullpen this season (6.0 IP) has posted a 15.00 ERA & 3.33 WHIP.
