DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA DraftKings GPP Special Lineup – 12/31/18
UPDATE (6:28 PM) - I decided to switch some things around with the DraftKings lineup tonight and I got both Harden & Davis in my lineup. I still have the Jones/Okogie duo which I like for value while also adding Covington who is in a great spot agianst NO. Kleber should be a popular play tonight and I'm hoping for some solid production from White/Rozier! Image is updated! Good Luck!
We continued our recent success with our NBA DraftKings Lineup as our 270-point performance had us cashing in both our GPP’s & 50/50’s for the 3rd consecutive night!
We’re going to be paying up for three stars tonight in Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, & Karl-Anthony Towns!
Kyrie Irving has been playing some of his best basketball as of late as over his last 5 games he is averaging 25.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, & 7.6 apg. San Antonio hasn’t been anything special against opposing PG’s this season as I just don’t see how the PG’s of San Antonio (Forbes, White, Mills) will be able to slow down Irving, he is well worth the high price tag tonight.
I’m paying up for Anthony Davis tonight for the Pelicans as I love the matchup he has agianst the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. Davis had a disappointing outing vs. the Rockets last Saturday however, I see him bouncing back in a big way tonight. Over his last five games, Davis is averaging 31.6 ppg, 16.6 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.8 bpg, & 1.6 spg.
Karl-Anthony Towns exploded for an incredible 86.5 DraftKings point performance and although he is playing on the 2nd half of a back to back, he is just too tempting to pass up on while his price sits below $10,000. Over his last three games, Towns is averaging 28.3 ppg, 19.0 rpg, 5.3 apg, 3.0 bpg, & 1.3 spg and as he put up 70.4 DraftKings point performance on the 2nd half of a back-to-back earlier this season, I’m not afraid going right back with him tonight.
As we needed to spend so much on our big-name players, we are obviously going to need to find value the rest of the way and the majority of that value will be coming from Minnesota & Houston.
With both Teague & Rose looking doubtful for tonight’s matchup as of right now, I think we get some incredible value from a Tyus Jones & Josh Okogie duo. This duo combined for 55 DraftKings points last night in 60 minutes of action and I think they can surpass those totals tonight with their solid matchup agianst the New Orleans pelicans. Jones is pretty safe pick has he will see 35+ minutes again tonight, however, I like Okogie tonight as he is not afraid to get up shots and still had a 21.0 DraftKings point performance last night despite going just 1-7 from the field.
San Antonio hasn’t been able to guard the PG position all season and I think this opens a nice opportunity to get some value from Boston’s backup PG in Terry Rozier. Rozier has seen about 20 minutes per game as of late, however, certainly has the ability to put up a big game in the right matchup and I think that could be the case tonight.
I’m staying in the SA/BOS matchup and going with Bryn Forbes who had seen 30+ minutes in each of his last three games and has gone off for two 40+ DraftKings point performances over his last 10 games. Forbes is an outstanding three-point shooter who certainly has upside if he can get hot behind the arc.
Maxi Kleber is starting to see consistent minutes in the 25-30 range and although he does have a low floor, the 2nd year man out of Germany does have 7x times upside as we recently saw him go off for a 26.25 DraftKings point performance agianst New Orleans last week. Kleber got the start yesterday with Wesley Matthews out of the lineup and I think is great value if he is once again in the starting five tonight.
