DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA DraftKings Initial Lineup – 1/22/19

Hi Everyone!

It’s Tuesday and we have a solid 4-game NBA Slate that starts at 7:00pm tonight!

Let’s check our initial DraftKings lineup.

Don't forget to check out our NBA FanDuel Lineup for tonight!!!!

The Clippers/Mavericks might be the lowest Over/Under (222.5 points) on the slate tonight, however, it’s going to be hard not to go with the trio of Patrick Beverley, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Tobias Harris tonight, especially as both Lou Williams & Danilo Gallinari look like they will be out again tonight.

With both Williams & Gallinari out against the Spurs on Sunday, major minutes opened up for both Beverley (41 mins) & Gilgeous-Alexander (37 minutes). Beverley responded with his best DFS performance of the season, putting up a monster 53.5 DraftKings-point performance (18 pts, 12 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl, 1 blk) and although Gilgeous-Alexander struggled as he only had a 15.5 DraftKings point performance (7 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast), the opportunity was there for Gilgeous-Alexander as he did put up 15 shots. Dallas has struggled against PG’s this season

Tobias Harris is currently the clear-cut top scoring option for the Clippers and Harris should us what he is capable of as against the Spurs on Sunday, he went off for a 60.75 DraftKings point performance (27 pts, 9 reb, 9 ast, 1 blk, 3 stl) against the Spurs on Sunday and as he is going to have an increased usage rate tonight, I think Harris is almost a must play against a Mavericks team that ranks just 24th vs. opposing PF’s.

We have Buddy Hield in our FanDuel lineup tonight, however, I’m going with his teammate in Bogdan Bogdanovic as he just brings more value with his $5,200 salary. Bogdanovic had a monster game against the Nets yesterday as he went off for a 50.5 DraftKings point performance (22 pts, 11 ast, 6 reb, 2 stl). Bogdanovic is seeing around 30 minutes of action each night and as they’ll need a big game out of him against Toronto tonight, I don’t mind rostering him tonight.

Karl-Anthony Towns has the highest upside of any player on tonight’s slate as he will be facing off against the undermanned Phoenix Suns for the 2nd consecutive game. Towns went off for a 61.0 DraftKings point performance (30 pts, 12 reb, 4 ast, 1 blk, 4 stl) against the Suns on Sunday. Towns is averaging 22.4 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 2.9 apg, 1.9 bpg, 1.0 spg on the season and if the Suns can keep this one close, I think he could go for 70+ DraftKings points tonight.

I’m staying in Minnesota for our Guard sport and getting Derrick Rose in our lineup. Rose played an impressive 38 minutes against the Suns on Sunday and went off for 31 points, 4 rebounds, & 3 assists. Rose is averaging an impressive 19.3 ppg, 4.8 apg, & 2.9 rpg on the season and looks like he is the go-to PG for the Timberwolves when they need scoring or in a close game. Phoenix has been one of the worst teams against opposing PG’s this season and if the Suns can keep this game close, I think Rose has another big night.

We’ll have to keep an eye on the Phoenix injury report as if both Richard Holmes & Deandre Ayton are not able to suit up again, we’ll have to go with the value in Dragan Bender who went off for a double-double (12 pts, 10 reb, 2 ast, 1 blk) against the Timberwolves on Sunday. Currently, Ayton looks doubtful, however, Holmes is more of a GTD. If Holmes is able to go, I’ll probably switch some things around to get him in my lineups.

Rounding out the team tonight will be the Mavericks DeAndre Jordan who will be facing off against his former team in the LA Clippers. Jordan is having a solid season for the Mavericks as he comes into this game averaging 11.0 ppg, 13.9 rpg, 2.0 apg & 1.1 bpg. Jordan’s price just seems to cheap on DraftKings ($6,400) to pass up on tonight, especially as the Clippers currently rank just 28th vs. opposing centers on the season.
