DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Initial Lineup – 1/12/19
We had another solid night as with some very last minutes adjustments to get both Ben Simmons & Eric Bledsoe in the lineup, our squad cashed in both our 50/50’s & GPP’s with a 353.9-point performance.
Let’s keep the winning going as we take a look at tonight’s FanDuel 6-game “Main” slate that starts at 7:00pm.
For the PG position tonight, I’m going to Minnesota and going to roster both Jeff Teague & Derrick Rose of the Minnesota Timberwolves in their outstanding match-up against the New Orleans Pelicans. I’m targeting both Teague & Rose as Karl Anthony Towns is a GTD with an ankle injury suffered in last nights game and although he was able to return last night, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Minnesota rest him on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. If they do, Minnesota is going to need a bunch of production from both Rose & Teague as the Timberwolves will also be missing Robert Covington.
Jeff Teague continues to produce solid numbers since returning from his injury he is averaging 36.2 FanDuel points in his last 4 games, which includes the recent Oklahoma City game in which he ejected midway through the 3rd quarter. On the season, Teague is averaging 12.0 ppg, 8.3 apg, 2.4 rpg, & 1.2 spg and he was solid agianst the Pelicans in their earlier matchup this season, posting 14 pts, 14 ast, 2 reb, 1 stl, & 1 blk.
Rose came back from a 6-game absence to post a solid 33.1 FanDuel point performance (21 pts, 3 reb, 5 ast, 1 blk) in 27 minutes of action. Rose looked healthy last night which makes me confidence he will be back on the court seeing 25-30 minutes tonight and has been a great source of offense for Minnesota this season, averaging 18.9 ppg, 4.8 apg, & 2.8 rpg this season.
We’ll have to keep an eye on Garry Harris injury status, however, if he not a go, I’m perfectly happy going with Malik Beasley for the Nuggets in their solid match-up against the Phoenix Suns tonight. Beasley is seeing 30+ minutes of action when Harris has been out and has been a solid source of offense for the Nuggets, which included a solid 32.7 FanDuel point performance agianst the Clippers on Thursday night.
I’m currently going with a 4-player stack of the Jazz in their match-up against the Chicago Bulls. There is a bunch of value and opportunity with the Jazz as they are missing all three PG’s in Rubio, Exum, and Neto and we saw the benefits last night with deploying the Utah stack against the Lakers. As of right now, I’m going with Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neale, and Rudy Gobert. This stack combined for an incredible 169.2 FanDuel points last night and there is upside with their match-up tonight agianst a Bulls team that ranks 16th vs. SG’s, 22nd vs. SF’s, and 28th vs. Centers. This stack has some risk due to the fact that the Bulls are awful, and the Jazz could blow them out of the water, however, it’s going to be hard to get away from the value the Jazz offer tonight and if the Bulls keep this game close, the winning teams tonight will have at least 3 Jazz players in their lineups.
I’m paying up for Anthony Davis in his match-up agianst the Minnesota Timberwolves and although I’m still bitter from his late scratch last time New Orleans was matched up agianst the Pelicans, I’m going back with him tonight as the match-up is outstanding. Davis is averaging an incredible 28.9 ppg, 13.2 rpg, 4.4 apg, 2.7 bpg & 1.8 spg on the season and looks like he is in great form right now after coming off an incredible 81.1 FanDuel point performance (38 pts, 13 reb, 7 ast, 4 blk, 2 stl) against the Cavaliers this past Wednesday.
Rounding out the team tonight, I’m going with some value with the Suns Richaun Holmes. Most people have been getting value with Josh Jackson, which has been a solid play, but I like Holmes better and have a hard time understanding why his price is still at $3,800 after posting back-to-back performances of 39.7 & 34.8 FanDuel points. Holmes does an outstanding job up racking up defensive stats, and as the Nuggets are below average agianst PF’s on the season, I think Holmes has some of the best value tonight.
