DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Initial Lineup – 1/13/19
Here is the “initial lineup” for the tonight’s NBA FanDuel “Main” 4-game slate that starts at 6:00pm.
I’m going out to watch the Pats/Chargers game that starts in an hour or so, so please note that depending on what time I get back, I might not be able to post any updates! I will do my best on my phone to post any updates to my Twitter (@BrettCU05)!
We need to keep an eye on a few injury situations, mainly with Denver & Dallas.
Will Barton came back last night, however, played just 15 minutes and I wouldn’t be shocked that they give him the day off as the Nuggets will be on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. Gary Harris missed his 3rd straight game due to a hamstring injury and based on his history, I’m not expecting him to be back tonight.
If Barton is out/limited & Harris is out, Malik Beasley & Torrey Craig become solid value options in which we currently have Beasley in the lineup.
For Dallas, J.J. Barea is out for the season with an Achilles injury and if Dennis Smith Jr. is out for the 3rd consecutive game due to a back injury, there is certainly some decent value with Jalen Brunson & Maxi Kieber. I’m currently rostering Brunson as if both are out, he should see 25-30 minutes.
I’m stacking the Lakers in their match-up agianst Cleveland as I have Ball, Ingram, & Kuzma who all have solid value in this matchup, especially with LeBron still out of the lineup.
For Cleveland, we are going with some value in Alec Burks who is coming off an impressive 36.4 FanDuel point performance against Houston after posing a stat line of 13 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 blk, & 1 stl.
We paid up for Kevin Durant at SF as I think the position is pretty limited today and didn’t love the value options available. Durant has certainly not lived up this high price-tag as of late, however, Dallas ranks just 23rd against opposing SF’s and I wanted to have at least some exposure to the Warriors in this one.
Aaron Gordon is coming off back-to-back solid games which includes a solid 28 points, 12 rebound, 2 assist, 1 block performance agianst the Celtics last night. Gordon is very reasonably priced with his upside and although the match-up is not the greatest, if Orlando stands any chance in this one, they’ll need to have a big game with Gordon.
I’m intrigued to watch the match-up between Nurkic and Jokic as they former Nuggets teammates face off in Portland tonight. I’m backing Nurkic as not only has been playing outstanding as of late, I think he will a bit more aggressive tonight to show that they shouldn’t have gotten rid of him.
