DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Lineup – 1/29/19
Hope everyone had a solid start off to their weeks!
We have an exciting 7-game NBA slate that starts at 7:00pm tonight and let’s check out our initial FanDuel lineup for tonight!
We’re going to start off with Tomas Satoransky of the Wizards tonight as we love his match-up against the Cleveland Cavaliers who have struggled against the PG position all set. Satoransky has been a solid fill-in for the Wizards since they lost John Wall for the season and has plated well as of late, as he is averaging 14.8 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 7.8 apg, & 1.8 stl. Satoransky has seen 36+ minutes in each of his last 4 games and has really produced as of late as he has two 45.6+ FanDuel point games over his last three games. Cleveland ranks 30th in DEFF & DRPM and as the Wizards have a solid 113.0 implied scoring total tonight, I have no problem paying a mid-range price for Satoransky.
Rajon Rondo didn’t think he would have a minutes restriction once he returned from injury and he was certainly correct as with Lonzo Ball currently on the sidelines, Rando has played a combined 79 minutes in his last two games. Rondo put up a huge 48.7 FanDuel point performance (15 pts, 6 reb, 13 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl) in his first game back against Minnesota and although he didn’t get many shots to fall and the Suns, still managed to put up 29.3 FanDuel points which I would consider that about his floor right now. Rondo and the Lakers will be in a fast-paced match-up against the 76ers tonight and if he can a few shots to drop, I think he can go for 40+ again.
Wayne Selden got the start for the Bulls last Sunday after Chandler Hutchison went down with a toe injury and the former Kansas Jayhawk stepped right in put up a solid 31.7 FanDuel point performance (15 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk, 1 stl) in a surprising 38 minutes against the Cavaliers last Sunday. I think we can pencil Selden in for about 30 minutes tonight and as we’ve seen him be productive at times when given the opportunity to play when he was with Memphis, I think he a solid value/low-scoring play at just $3,800.
Terrence Ross might not start for the Magic, however, he has a major role with Orlando and over his last 5 games, is seeing about 30 minutes of action per game. In the 5-game stretch, Ross is averaging a sold 14.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.0 apg & 1.4 spg and always has some upside as he can really pour in the points if his three-point shot is falling. Ross is averaging about 15 shots per game over his last 5 games and as I think the Magic will need his scoring tonight to have any chance against the Thunder, I think he is a solid value play which allows us to pay up at other positions.
We’re going to stay in the OCK/ORL match-up and pay up for Paul George tonight who is putting up some incredible numbers this season as he comes into this game averaging 27.1 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 4.0 apg, & 2.3 spg. George is averaging 55.2 FanDuel points over his last 5 games which includes two 60+ FanDuel point performances over his last three games. Orlando ranks just 29th in DEFF & 19th in DRPM against SF’s on the season and as George and the Thunder have a solid 113.3 implied scoring total tonight, I think George will be able to once against top 60+ FanDuel points.
Kelly Oubre Jr. continues to produce for the Suns as over his last five games, Oubre Jr. is averaging 15.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.8 bpg, & 1.2 spg. Oubre Jr. has been seeing about 30 minutes a game as of late and I image he’ll continue to see those types of minutes with TJ Warren & Deandre Ayton looking like they are going to be out again tonight. Oubre Jr. is averaging 33.0 FanDuel points in his last 10 games and as he has upside of 45-50 FanDuel points with his ability to contribute in all categories, I like him tonight at a reasonable price of $6,300.
We’re staying in the PHO/SA match-up and going to pay up for LaMarcus Aldridge who is in a great sport tonight against the Suns. Aldridge comes into this game averaging 20.9 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 2.6 apg, & 1.2 bpg and has been even better as of late as over his last 5 games he is averaging 25.2 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 4.0 apg, & 1.8 bpg. Aldridge currently has a solid usage rate of 24.9% and I expect that will be even higher tonight as we already know DeMar DeRozan has already been ruled out due to a knee injury.
Richaun Holmes came back after a 4-game absence due to injury and looked incredible as he put up a 40.5 FanDuel point performance (12 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast, 4 blk, 1 stl) in 26 minutes against the Lakers on Sunday. Holmes has shown on multiple occasions that he can put up big stat lines with his ability to pile up blocks and with the Suns with DeAndre Ayton looking doubtful tonight, Holmes should once again see 25-30 minutes. Holmes has too much value and upside at his current $5,000 price and I just don’t see how you don’t get him in your lineups tonight.
Luke Walton finally gave Ivica Zubac the majority of minutes over JaVale McGee and Zubac came through with a monster double-double (24 pts, 16 reb, 4 blk) in an impressive 35 minutes of action. Zubac is averaging 19.0 ppg, 9.4 rpg, & 1.2 bpg over his last 5 games and if he is going to be starting and seeing 30+ minutes going forward, get him in your lineups now before his price goes up.
Check back later for updates.
