DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Initial Lineup – 12/15/18
Here are my thoughts for tonight’s NBA FanDuel “Main” Slate that starts at 7:00pm. I’m keeping it pretty short today as I have to get some other things done this AM, but I’ll have a solid two hours prior to tip-off to ensure we’re finding the top matchups tonight.
We have a 6-game state tonight and my biggest question right now is if I’m going to fit in both Westbrook/LeBron in my lineups tonight.
Remember, as a bunch of news generally breaks throughout the day, please check back around 6/6:30pm as I’ll most likely make updates to the lineup.
At the PG position, I want Russell Westbrook in my lineups tonight as not only do I think Oklahoma City will come out firing after dropping a tough on at home to Denver last night, but Westerbook was really fired up at the end of game in his dust up with Jamal Murray. This matchup against the Clippers is a solid one and Westbrook put up a solid 57.8 FanDuel point performance agianst the Clippers earlier this season.
I think Derrick Rose will be solid, mid-range option tonight at PG as he has one of the best matchups for PG’s against the Phoenix Suns tonight. Rose has been seeing around 30 mpg on average and has been just a pure scorers for the Timberwolves this season. Rose should be plenty rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday and I see him going for 25+ points tonight.
Zack LaVine is listed as doubtful and I think this opens the opportunity for Justin Holiday to have a big game. Holiday seems like his minutes are safe under the Bulls new head coach as he has seen 34 & 38 minutes in his two games and as he should have more of a role in the offense if LaVine is out, I think he is a great value play tonight.
Jeremy Lamb has been a solid contributor for the Hornets and you have to like his changes to repeat his 35.3 FanDuel point performance that he had last night agianst the Knicks, in his great matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Eric Gordon is questionable, and I think Danuel House could be a solid “low-scoring/punt” play as the SF for Houston has seen 18 & 29 minutes in his last two games while gaining 20+ FanDuel points in each contest. The matchup isn’t the greatest agianst Memphis but if House gets 20+ minutes I think he can produce.
I’ll have to monitor the Suns injuries as Booker might be back and Josh Jackson looks questionable at the moment, however, if both are out, I really like TJ Warren tonight. Warren is fully back from his injury and put up a solid 30 points, 3 rebound, 3 assist performance in 35 minutes agianst Dallas on Thursday.
Taj Gibson is out for Minnesota tonight so as what will make Dario Saric a very popular play today as he’ll absorb most of Gibson’s minutes. Saric has the ability to put up big games and as he is just $4,600, he seems almost like a must-play tonight.
I can’t say I love spending $6,700 on Marcus Morris however, he has been unbelievable for the Celtics this season. Morris has put up 26 ppg over his last three games and as I do like the “revenge” factor as the Pistons did trade him to the Celtics, I think Morris continues his recent string of solid play and gets us 40+ FanDuel points.
The Celtics are really thin in the front-court and although I have the extra $100 to spend up on Karl Anthony-Towns, I’m currently rolling with Andre Drummond who averaged 18.0 rpg against the Celtics last season. Drummond should be able to dominate the likes of Theis/Williams for the Celtics and I expect a 20/20 game from him tonight.
