DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Initial Lineup – 12/27/18
Updated (7:43 PM) - Harden still looks like a go but I'm ok taking my chances that either RIvers or Nene can get us 25-20 tonight. Image updated below. Good Luck!
We have a 5-game NBA slate tonight that starts at 8:00pm and let’s take a look at our initial lineup.
Please note, we are waiting on some injury updates in James Harden & JaVale McGee so please come back later as I’ll have an updated lineup posted around 7:30pm.
When it comes to the Boston/Houston matchup, this one is really going to come down to if Harden plays or not. If Harden does play, I think this could be a competitive game and I think the Kyrie Irving becomes a great option. As of right now, outside of a “low-scoring” play in Daniel House, I’m staying away from this matchup until we know if Harden is playing or not.
The LAL/SAC matchup looks like the game to target tonight as both these offenses play fast and the current Over/Under is listed at 231.5. Sacramento will be on the 2nd half of a back-to-back but I’m not too concerned about that as the match-up is almost as good as it gets against a Lakers team that will be without Lebron James. We’re stacking the Kings with Fox, Hield, and Bjelica.
As for the Lakers, we want to get some exposure so as of right now we have Kyle Kuzma & Ivica Zubac in the lineup. Kuzma has no problem putting up a ton of shots and as I expect him to put up at least 20 shots tonight, he has major upside as his price has come down over the past week. Zubac has been a monster filling in for JaVale McGee and if McGee is out, I don’t mind going with Zubac again even if his price is now sitting at the $6,500.
I’m expecting the Warriors to bounce back after a disappointing game on Christmas agianst the Lakers and as they will be at home, I really like Curry’s matchup agianst Lillard and the Trailblazers. Curry is averaging 28.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 5.2 apg this season and I think he has some solid upside tonight in a game I think the Warriors will want to make a statement in.
Malcolm Brogdon is the definition of a “glue player” for the Bucks and is coming off a solid 38.4 FanDuel point performance agianst the Knicks on Christmas Day. Brogdon is averaging 15.2 ppg, 3.4 apg, 4.7 rpg on the season and as I liked how he put up 14 shots agianst the Knicks recently, I think he can easily hit 5x value tonight.
Rounding out the team, I’m going with Noah Vonleh of the Knicks who continues to provide the Knicks some solid minutes as he has been on the floor an average of about 34 minutes in his last three games. Vonleh is almost averaging a double-double (8.2 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.0 bpg) over his last 5 games and I think he has some solid upside tonight after putting up 14 points & 14 rebounds agianst the Bucks on Christmas.
Check back later for updates!
