DFS – Fantasy Basketball – NBA FanDuel Initial Lineup – 12/29/18
UPDATE (6:32 PM) - It looks like Wall, Potter Jr, and Morris are all confirmed out so I'm sticking with the orginial lineup from this morning as I love the Harden/Davis/Beal trio tonight. Good Luck!
We continued our recent hot streak as our 357.3-point performance last night had us easily cashing in both the GPP’s & 50/50 for the 2nd straight slate.
We have an 8-game NBA slate tonight that starts at 7:00pm and let’s take a look at our initial lineup.
We’ll have to keep an eye on the news concerning John Wall (Doubtful) & Markieff Morris (GTD) however, if they aren’t able to go, I’m going with a 4-man stack of the Wizards which includes, Tomas Satoransky, Bradley Beal, Jeff Green, and Thomas Bryant. This combo combined for an impressive 139.2 FanDuel points last night and we did see solid production from everyone as Green’s 24.4-point performance was the lowest of the bunch. It’s a bit concerning that Washington is on the 2nd half of a back-to-back, however, if they are still missing all those players, I expect to see all 4 of these players posting 30+ minutes in a game that has a respectable Over/Under of 219.
We have a couple of Atlanta Hawks in Trae Young & DeAndre’ Bembry in their solid matchup against a Cleveland Cavaliers team will be on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. Cleveland has been terrible agianst PG’s (this is why we took Justice Winslow last night who went off for 50+ FanDuel points) and I like how Young has looked recently as he is averaging 15.8 ppg, 8.0 apg, 3.8 rpg, & 1.0 spg over his last 5 games. Young has been great against Cleveland this season as in his two games agianst the Cavaliers, he is averaging 29.5 ppg & 7.5 apg and as his price is reasonable, I think he has some nice upside tonight. Bembry has the ability to stuff a stat sheet in all categories as we’ve seen him put up a couple 40+ FanDuel points performances, and as he is seeing 25.6 mpg over his past 5 games, I think he makes for a good “low-scoring” option tonight.
Luke Kornet entered the starting lineup last Thursday and he didn’t disappoint as he put up 23 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and a block in 34 minutes of action. The matchup against Utah isn’t the greatest, however, Kornet does most of his damage from beyond the arc (7-11 3PM-3PA) agianst Milwaukee and there is no way I’m not getting him in my lineup for a minimum price if he is going to see 34 minutes and put up 17 total shots again.
With all the money we saved, we’re able to pay up for both of the main targets on the slate with James Harden & Anthony Davis. Harden has 70+ points written all over this matchup with Chris Paul still out and as Anthony Davis went up for a monster 85.4 FanDuel Point performance last night, I think we could see a combined 150 FanDuel points between these two players along tonight.
