Update (6:38 PM) - Hi Everyone! Made some adjustments to the FanDuel lineup. I'm taking a chance by putting in Tyus Jones as I think he has the change for huge value tonight if both Teague & Rose are questionable. I think he had no problem hitting value if one sits and at worst if both play, we'll just have to hope that Arcidiacono for the Bulls can put up a decent total in spot start tonight. I'm fading Markkanen which could be dangerous but I like the upside of Aldridge tonight and I think Davis has solid value even in limited minutes. Image is updated below! Good Luck!
It was a low-scoring slate on Monday, however, we unfortunately missed out cashing in either our GPP’s & 50/50’s after a team racked up a 248.90-point performance. We had decent performances by Andre Drummond (43.5 points), Bobby Portis (41.1 points), De’Aaron Fox (39.8 points), and Tomas Satoransky (37.7 points), however, we didn’t get as much production as we were hoping in the SAC/WAS game as Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Jabari Parker all fell short of expectations.
Let’s get back on track as we have an exciting 7-game NBA FanDuel slate that starts at 7:00pm.
It’s an interesting slate when trying to put a lineup together as there is a ton of potential value out their depending on injured/rested players.
The CHI/LAL game has me very intrigued as we already know that Zach LaVine is doubtful and we saw some great value with the Lakers against the Celtics with Johnathan Williams & Moritz Wagner. If LaVine is out, Arcidiacono make a good “low-scoring” option at the min price and you have to love both Porter Jr & Markkanen in this match-up. As for the Lakers, I’m waiting for the news on whether Kyle Kuzma will be able to go tonight, however, I do think Wagner minutes are safe if Kuzma does play.
Luka Doncic is currently questionable due to a knee injury and if he isn’t able to go, you have to like the value that Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. bring to the table. Brunson has seen 30+ minutes in each of his last three games and I think he is undervalued currently if he is going to consistently see that amount of time. Hardaway Jr. has been struggling as of late, but he has been a pretty bad shooting slump. If Doncic is out, I think Hardaway puts up 15-20 shots and could go off against a Spurs team that has struggled defensively on the road. I also like Maxi Kleber who played 30 minutes in his first game back from injury and put up 36.7 FanDuel points with a double-double against Houston on Sunday.
Minnesota’s Taj Gibson will be a must-play if we find out that Karl Anthony-Towns is out again. If both Towns & Wiggins is out, Keita Bates-Diop has solid value as in this last two games he is averaging 35 mpg while posting performances of 23 FanDuel points & 37.7 FanDuel points. The match-up is a tough one at Denver, but it’s hard to argue with the number of minutes these two will see if Anthony-Towns & Wiggins are out again.
Cleveland’s frontcourt is in shambles tonight as Kevin Love (rest) has already been ruled out, Nance Jr. & Thompson are questionable and who knows the status of Marquese Chriss after trading punches with Serge Ibaka last night. Depending on how this plays out, Ante Zizic could get all the minutes he can handle and Larry Nance Jr. might become a nice pick if he is able to go and Thompson & Chriss are out. I also don’t mind Cedi Osman/Colin Sexton as they should have pretty high usage rates tonight. The good news with this situation is that the Cavs start at 7:00pm so we should know what’s going to happen here prior to tip off.
When it comes to the Milwaukee game, we do know as of know that Giannis Antetokounmpo has one of the best match-ups on the slate and with the money you can save elsewhere it shouldn’t be too hard to get Antetokounmpo and Middleton in your lineups tonight if you want to go in that direction. New Orleans has been competitive as of late and if they can keep this game close, I see both Antetokounmpo/Middleton having big nights.
As always, I’ll be back taking a long look later in the day as the slate gets closer and I’ll post any adjustments by 6:30pm. If there are any really last-minute changes (which always happens basically every NBA slate…haha), I’ll post the image directly to my Twitter account (@BrettCU05).
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
