Update (6:35 PM) - Hi Everyone! Made my adjustments! I'm sticking with Ish Smith as I think he still has great value even through Reggie Jackson is playing. Smith should see at worst the same amount of minutes tonight and the match-up is a great one against the Lakers. Image is updated! Good Luck!
Unlike our DraftKings lineup yesterday, our FanDuel lineup just short which I’m kicking myself over as I knew I should have targeted the Boston/Sacramento game more. Either way, the great thing about DFS is that we’re already past yesterday and on to tonight as we take a look at tonight’s 8-game NBA FanDuel slate that starts at 7:00pm.
As of this morning, the two games I’m looking at closely are the CHA/WAS game and LAL/DET games.
CHA/WAS had a bunch of value recently in their Hornets 112-111 win a week ago and there is no reason to think that we can’t find similar value tonight. Kemba Walker & Bradley Beal didn’t hit their projections last time out but are obviously safe plays, however, I’m more looking at the mid-tier options in Jeremy Lamb (51 points), Marvin Williams (45.9 points), and Bobby Portis (40.3 points) who all crushed their projections last time out. Trevor Ariza is also currently questionable for this match-up which makes me even more interesting in Portis and possibility Jabari Parker and/or Jeff Green.
When it comes to the DET/LAL match-up we all know that the Lakers are giving up a bunch of points and the Pistons could be solid options across the board, especially if Reggie Jackson can’t go due to an ankle injury. If Jackson can’t go, Ish Smith & Luke Kennard become great value options and as the Lakers have had trouble defending opposing frontcourts all season, I’m comfortable paying up for Drummond tonight.
I also don’t hate the SAC/PHI matchup as this could be a high-scoring affair and we currently have Ben Simmons & Harrison Barnes in our lineup.
We also have Kelly Oubre Jr. as I think his value will be bumped up a bit tonight if Tyler Johnson can’t go. Oubre Jr. has been outstanding since being acquired by the Suns and certainly had 40-45+ point upside on any given night.
As always, I’ll be back taking a long look later in the day as the slate gets closer and I’ll post any adjustments by 6:30pm. If there are any really last-minute changes (which always happens basically every NBA slate…haha), I’ll post the image directly to my Twitter account (@BrettCU05).
Have a great rest of your day!
