We weren’t incorrect in targeting Celtics players last night, however, a lack-luster performance by Kevin Durant (who ended up being our lowest scoring player that counted!) couldn’t get us to cash in either our 50/50’s or GPP’s as we finished the slate with a disappointing 269.6-point performance. Leading the way last night for our squad was Kyrie Irving (44.5 points), Jeff Teague (44.0 points), Jayson Tatum (38.5 points) & Steven Adams (38.2 points).
Let’s get back to our winning ways as we look at our NBA FanDuel lineup tonight for the 10-game “Main” slate that starts at 7:00pm.
As I’ve been doing more lately, I’m just posting the images of my initial lineup as we generally will be making changes as the day goes on.
We’re paying up at the PG position today as we currently have Ben Simmons & Trae Young in the lineup.
Simmons has been incredible with Joel Embiid out and although he played 40 minutes last night, he has too good of a match-up against a Chicago Bulls team that has struggled against opposing PG’s all season. Simmons has put up three straight 50+ FanDuel point games and as he should see another 40 minutes tonight, he is well worth the high price tag.
Atlanta could continue to be without John Collins tonight and as Dewayne Dedmon is also looking doubtful, Young looks will have to put up huge offense numbers for the Hawks to have a chance tonight. San Antonio has played better as of late, however, we all saw how awful their defense looked on the road in their recent 5-game road trip and this game is one of my favorite games to target on the slate tonight.
Staying with the SAS/ATL matchup, with Dedmon looking doubtful, Alex Len looks like a solid option tonight. Len is coming off a disappointing effort against Miami, however, the Spurs are a much better matchup and Len has 40+ point potential when he sees 25-30 mins.
For the Spurs, we’re paying up for LaMarcus Aldridge as Atlanta has been one of the worst teams defending against opposing PF’s positions and Aldridge has put up 40+ FanDuel points in 3 of his last 4 games.
We’re looking at the NY/PHX match-up and going to go with the Knicks Allonzo Trier and the Suns Kelly Oubre Jr. Both of these players might have low floors, but they also have high ceiling as both demonstrated in their last games as Trier went off for 44.6 points while Oubre Jr. dropped a 54.1-point performance. Both players have been seeing around 30 minutes consistently over their last few games and I like both of these players tonight.
We have Trevor Ariza for the Wizards as although he can be a bit inconsistent, he has put up very good numbers agianst the Mavericks this season as in his 2 games this year, Ariza is averaging 17.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 6.0 apg, & 2.5 spg.
Dwight Powell’s price is continuing to go up, however, as he has a nice match-up against the Wizards, I’m going to continue to roster him even tough his price tag is catching up to his performance levels.
Rodney McGruder is our “low-scoring” option as he posted a solid 38.2-point performance against Brooklyn last Saturday and what was more encouraging, saw 32 minutes of action in much closer game this past Monday. With Dragic already listed as out, I’m hoping he sees about 25-30 minutes again as although we can’t expect a big game, he has shown on multiple occasions this season that he can put up a solid game.
As always, I’ll be back taking a long look later in the day as the slate gets closer and I’ll post any adjustments by 6:30pm. If there are any really last-minute changes (which always happens basically every NBA slate…haha), I’ll post the image directly to my Twitter account (@BrettCU05).
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
