Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday!

Let’s keep it going as we take a look at tonight’s NFL FanDuel “Thursday Night” Slate that features a single game match-up with TB @ CAR that starts at 8:20pm.

Also, don't forget to check out our initial lineups for Sunday's "Main Slate" for both FanDuel & DraftKings!

Similar to our FanDuel lineup, I think the biggest question is whether or not you’re going to pay up for Christian McCaffrey. In my opinion, for cash lineups, I think he is worth it, however, as I’m going to do more of a GPP lineup, I’m going to fade him just as his ownership is going to be extremely high.

At our MVP spot, we’re going to with Curtis Samuel in what I think will be a bounce back performance and has the upside for a multiple-TD performance.

Curtis Samuel is a breakout candidate this season, and although he didn’t come up with a big game in Week 1 (3 receptions, 43 yards), I think bigger games for the 2nd year WR out of Ohio State. Samuel showed his potential towards the end of last season, after averaging 4 receptions (8 targets/game) & 59.6 receiving yards per game over his last 5 games of the season and as the Buccaneers allowed 22 TD’s to WR’s last season, I think Samuel can break off a few big plays against a beatable Carlton Davis who will be mostly responsible for him tonight.

Pairing with Samuel, I’m going with Cam Newton, D.J. Moore, & Greg Olson.

Newton didn’t have a great Week 1 in the Panthers 30-27 loss against the Rams, however, I think Newton is going to find much more success tonight against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay had a decent performance against a 49ers offense that lacks many offensive weapons, however, I think Buccaneers are going to have their hands full with the Newton and the Carolina offense. Tampa Bay ranked 30th last season vs. QB’s & 27th vs. WR’s in DraftKings points/game and I expect we see Cam Newton throw for 2-3 TD’s while also adding one on the ground.

D.J. Moore is coming off a strong rookie season after finishing last season with 55 receptions (82 Targets) for 788 yards & 2 TD’s and looks like he is the top option at WR for Newton and the Panthers this season. Moore has a solid game in Week 1 with 7 receptions for 76 yards and as I expect him to see double-digit targets again, I think he is worth the price tag as we have Newton as our QB.

Greg Olson is a 13-year veteran who is one of the Newton’s most trusted and reliable receivers and although he only had 4 receptions for 36 yards in Week 1, I’m more encouraged by the 9 targets. Olson is TD threat in the Red Zone and although we do need to monitor his status he is currently listed as questionable, he did practice yesterday so I’m leaning towards that he is going to suit up tonight.

For the Buccaneers, I’m going to go with two of their top pass-catching options in Mike Evans & going with more of a value pick in Breshad Perriman.

Mike Evans had a disappointing week 1, however, I’m not too concerned about his final stat line (2 receptions, 28 yards) as Evans was batting an illness which clearly was affecting him and didn’t get much help from Winston who had a rough game. Evans is one of the top receivers in the game, finishing last season with 86 receptions for 1524 yards & 8 TD’s and between the fact that I think he will flourish in a Bruce Arians directed offense and that people will be a bit hesitant going with him after his performance last week, I think he is a solid play tonight.

Breshad Perriman has always had potential, which was way Baltimore drafted him in the first round in 2015, and although he hasn’t lived up to that potential to date, he has an opportunity with Tampa Bay this season to put up some solid numbers as he is 3rd WR for the Buccaneers this season. Perriman still has blazing speed, despite some injuries over the year, and as he has the upside to break off a big TD catch, I like him in our GPP lineup tonight!
