DFS – Fantasy Football – NFL DraftKings Lineup – Featured Slate – Week 17 – 12/30/18

Update (12:10 PM) - I have made some adjustments as we start getting more and more news about who is playing, we still might make additional adjustments before kickoff. Image is updated below! Good Luck!

Hi Everyone!

It’s the last week of the regular season for NFL and let’s try to end on a strong note with today’s “Main” slate lineup that starts at 1:00pm.

Kansas City is playing for home field advantage throughout the playoffs today and as they have a great matchup agianst the Oakland Raiders, I don’t mind paying up for the 3-man stack of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, & Travis Kelce.

Mahomes has been unbelievable in his first season as the Chiefs QB as the former Texas Tech gun slinger come into this game completing 66.4% of his passes for 48 TD’s & 11 INT while averaging an incredible 321.1 passing yds/g. Mahomes was able to pick apart the Raiders defense on the road earlier this season as he threw for 4 TD’s and as I think the Chiefs will come out firing in this one, I expect a big game for Mahomes.

Tyreek Hill is arguably the most explosive WR in the NFL as if he gets a step on you, there is little to no chance you’re going to be able to catch him. Hill has had a nice season as he has 82 receptions for 1,378 yards while hauling in 11 TD’s. Hill had one of his worst games of the season against the Raiders earlier this season, but as he has become the main target for Mahomes at the WR position, I think he has the potential for a big game today at home against a Raiders pass defense which is nothing better than average.

Travis Kelce is going to be the chalk play at the TE position today and he should be as the Raiders have been one of the worst teams defending opposing TE’s this season. Kelce has had another strong year has he 98 receptions for 1274 yards & 10 TD and went off against Oakland for 12 receptions for 168 yards & 2 TD.

I’m going with RB Jeff Wilson Jr. of the 49ers as he should see a heavy workload with Matt Breida going on the IR with an ankle injury. In his two starts earlier this season, Wilson Jr. was very effective and even piled up 134 total yards (61 rushing; 73 receiving) against a tough Seahawks defense on the road. Wilson Jr. has shown his ability to be a threat in the passing game and I think comes in at great value today.

We’re sticking with value at our RB spot with Denver’s Royce Freeman today as he should be the lead back for the Broncos after Phillip Lindsey going on the IR due to a wrist injury. It’s been somewhat a disappointing season for Freeman who looked like he was going to be the lead back coming out of training camp, however, Freeman underwhelmed at the beginning of the season while Lindsey dominated. Freeman currently has 461 rushing yards & 5 TD’s on the season and as I think the rookie out of Oregon will want to show that he still can be the lead back of the future for the Broncos, I think he’ll be able to reach his value as his price-point today.

We’re still not sure the status of Antonio Brown is looks more and more likely he is going to miss this game, however, either way, I like JuJu Smith-Schuster to go off for big game today agianst the Cincinnati defense that ranks 30th against the pass. The Steelers are in a must win game and you know Smith-Schuster is going to be heavily targeted as he comes in to this game with 106 receptions for 1389 yards & 6 TD’s on the season. Smith-Schuster is going to have plenty of motivation to produce today after his costly fumble last week and I see him getting 15+ targets today in this matchup.

Tampa Bay’s Chris Godwin will be our final WR today as he has a nice matchup against the Atlanta Falcons and has become the clear cut number two receivers behind Mike Evans for the Buccaneers. Godwin has flashed his potential, as he has eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark twice this season and he should find some success against Atlanta’s 25th ranked passing defense, I like Godwin today as a solid value play.

At our FLEX position, I’m currently rostering Courtland Sutton who has suddenly become the top WR threat for the Denver Broncos. Sutton is a big WR that create a ton of matchup problems for opposing DB’s and comes into this game with 41 receptions on the season for 679 receiving yards & 4 TD’s. Sutton saw 10 targets last game and expect another heavy workload this afternoon.

On the defense, I had to save so money as we spend up big for the KC trio & Smith-Schuster, however, I don’t mind going with the Carolina Panthers today as New Orleans will be sitting the majority of their impact players on the offense end. Teddy Bridgewater could still do some damage, however, he hasn’t seen much live game action and as I think the Panthers can force some TO’s, I don’t mind rolling with them today.
