DFS – Fantasy Football – NFL FanDuel Lineup – NFL Playoffs Divisional Games – 1/12/19
We have an exciting weekend of football on tap here and let’s kick it off as we look at the 2-game FanDuel slate that starts at 4:35pm today!
As what I expect to be a popular stack, I’m fitting in as many Colts & Chiefs players I can as this game has the making of a good old fashion shootout!
I decided to go with Andrew Luck as I just like the match-up a bit more agianst the Kansas City pass defense that comes into this game ranked 31st when it comes to pass defense. Luck has been playing like the Andrew Luck of old and if the Colts stand any shot in this game, they’ll need him to put up some monster numbers.
We decided to go with Ezekiel Elliott as our RB1 just because his usage in this game should be incredible and as he will play a major role in both the running & passing games, I think he is the must-own RB on today’s slate.
At the RB2 slot, we’re going with a value pick in Nyheim Hines as it’s a good possibility that the Colts will be plaining from behind which would lead to more opportunities for Hines to be involved in the passing game out of the backfield. Hines has been targeted at least 5 times in each of the Colts 5 games and as he has 9 catches in two games this season, you know that Luck and the Colts trust him.
As I think the majority of teams will be paying up for two of the top-RB’s, I think there is a great opportunity in spending up on both T.Y. Hilton & Tyreek Hill. Hilton & Hill are two of the most explosive WR’s in the league and if this game does become a shootout, we can expect both to have huge days.
Filling in for our last WR spot will be the Colts Chester Rodgers as I might as well get another Indianapolis WR in the lineup if I have Luck as our QB. Rodgers is seeing an average of more than 5 targets/game over his last three games and certainly has the opportunity to get us a TD.
We’re paying up for Kelce as the Colts have been one of the worst teams against TE’s this season and as he one of Mahomes top targets, he could has the upside of being one of the best plays on the entire slate.
I only had $4,400 left at this point and really the only player I could throw in here that has a shot to do anything is the Rams Tyler Higbee. There always seems to be one long-shot play that scores a TD on these type of slates and I’m hoping we can strike gold with Higbee.
For our defense, as we are fading Gurley and the Rams WR’s, we might as well go with the Cowboys who certainly have the talent on the defense side to give the Rams offense some trouble.
Check back later for updates!
