2015 Masters: PGA Odds, Pick, Predictions, Dark Horses - 4/9/15

The 2015 Masters will begin this Thursday, giving us yet another chance to make some big boy money on the green. As usual, we take a look at some of the dark horses that provide insane value, and it doesn’t get much better than the Masters where everybody is trying their best to make history.

Here are some of the names you should consider putting on your card this week.

Rory McIlroy - We usually leave out the top overall favorite simply due to it providing not enough value, but let’s be honest, Rory McIlroy has the best chance as anyone to win this week’s event. McIllroy is argubaly the best golfer in the world right now and has won the last two majors. Although McIllroy doesn’t have great success at the Masters and hasn’t been playing his best golf as of late, he always shows up when the lights are at their brightest. You’d be a fool not to throw Rory McIlroy a bone or two with odds of +600.

Patrick Reed - If we’re looking for a true dark horse to win the green jacket, how about Patrick Reed with odds of +3500? Reed has made the cut in all 10 of his events this season, which includes a victory at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and a second place finish at the Valspar Championship. This will just be Reed’s second appearance at the Masters after missing the cut last year, but this kid is clearly playing some of his better golf of his young career and has a chance to compete with anyone if he keeps it up. I like the value with Patrick Reed this week.

Sergio Garcia - My biggest longshot this week will be Sergio Garcia, who has played some flat out brutal golf as of late. Garcia also hasn’t had much success in the Masters despite making the cut 11 of his 16 tries. Garcia’s best finish in Augusta was a tie for fourth place back in 2004. Still, everybody knows what Sergio Garcia is capable of pulling off, and we saw a glimpse of it when he placed second in the CIMB Classic and fourth in the Northern Trust Open. Garcia is getting odds of +4000 and given his consistency over the years, I wouldn’t put it past him to pull off a career-changing victory.

Bubba Watson - Bubba Watson has won two of the last three green jackets and is getting odds of +1200. Do I really need to say anymore?

Tiger Woods - For what it’s worth, Tiger Woods is still Tiger Woods, and he’s won the Masters four times throughout his career. Also, Woods has 13 Top 10 finishes in his last 18 appearances on this course. With odds of +2000, I’m not going to be that guy who writes of Tiger on the biggest stage in the sport.
