I see a chance to make some nice money in the 2014 Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.
Qualify comes over the pond for Aidan O’Brien, and while she needed some class relief to get the job done last time out, she did it quite nicely. Qualify will also get an extra furlong in this spot, which she should take to well. The far outside post is not a huge cause for concern and this Qualify has gotten a nice education in her campaign this year making her a comfortable pick for the top spot. Partisan Politics was soundly beaten in her last start at Belmont Park after letting the field get too far in front of her early without working for it and she should get a more favorable set up and maybe even a little bit of a cleaner trip despite drawing the rail. A big price on Partisan Politics will make her tough to leave out completely. Lady Eli comes in off a smashing win in that same G3 that Partisan Politics was last seen in. While a slow pace didn’t hurt, Lady Eli finished very fast to leave the rest in her dust. If Lady Eli continues to improve, she’s formidable.
For me, the favorite Sunset Glow leaves a bit to be desired. Sunset Glow is said to have the look of a sprinter and those big speed figures are going to attract a ton of attention at the window. I’ll pass.
