The Line: Arizona Diamondbacks -179 / Colorado Rockies +169 --- Over/Under: 7.5
Down at Chase Field on Sunday, the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks will be finishing up their MLB series.
In the Friday opener, the Rockies eked out an 11-10 win. On Saturday, Colorado kept it going with a narrow 6-5 win.
For the Sunday game, the Rockies will be rolling out RHP Antonio Senzatela. In his 30.1 innings and 3-2 record this year, Senzatela has a 5.34 ERA with 20 Ks and nine walks.
Tops in hitting for the Rockies this season is Nolan Arenado, who came into the weekend on 110 hits, 66 runs, 25 homers and 72 RBI. On Saturday, Arenado whiffed 0-for-4.
Over on the D-Backs’ side, they’re sending out Zack Greinke on Sunday. Over 121.2 innings and a 10-5 record this year, Greinke has a 3.18 ERA with 124 Ks and 23 BBs.
David Peralta was the top hitter for Arizona coming into the weekend on 101 hits, 46 runs, 16 homers and 53 RBI. In game two, Peralta came up empty in a pinch-hit role.
The Rockies are 1-6 in their last seven Sunday games and 8-1 in Senzatela’s last nine starts versus the NL West. Colorado is also 1-6 in Senzatela’s last seven road starts and the over is 4-1 in their last five Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are 1-4 in their last five in game three of a series and 1-4 in their last five Sunday games. Arizona is also 5-1 in Greinke’s last six starts and 22-8 in Greinke’s last 30 home starts.
Senzatela had a pretty good run going for a few games, but then coughed up six earned in 6.0 innings on five hits in Seattle his last time up. As for Greinke, he’s got five quality starts in his last six outings and hasn’t given up more than three earned since June 13. I’m going to stick with Greinke here and take the Diamondbacks.
