The Line: Arizona Diamondbacks -160 / Milwaukee Brewers +150 --- Over/Under: 8
Down at Chase Field on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks will be continuing their MLB series.
In the Monday opener, the Brewers scored three times in the ninth inning on the way to a 7-2 win.
For the Tuesday game, the Brewers will be bringing out RHP Jhoulys Chacin. In his 45.0 innings and 3-1 record this year, Chacin has a 4.00 ERA with 29 Ks and 21 BBs.
Coming out of the weekend, the Brewers’ top hitter was Lorenzo Cain with 40 hits, 24 runs, 13 RBI and five homers. On Monday, Cain went 0-for-4.
Over on the Diamondbacks’ side, they’re going with Zack Greinke on Tuesday. In his 48.2 innings and 3-2 record this year, Greinke has a 3.70 ERA with 53 Ks and six walks.
Arizona’s top hitter entering this set was AJ Pollock with 44 hits, 23 runs, 11 homers and 33 RBI. In the Monday game, Pollock went 0-for-4.
The Brewers are 4-0 in their last four Tuesday games and 20-8 in their last 28 during game two of a series. Milwaukee is also 5-0 in Chacin’s last five starts and 5-1 in his last six road starts.
Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are 4-0 in their last four Tuesday games and 5-1 in Greinke’s last six Tuesday starts. Arizona is also 11-4 in Greinke’s last 15 starts with four days’ rest and 19-7 in his last 26 home starts.
Over his last two starts, Chacin has been solid with three earned in 11.1 innings on seven hits. As for Greinke, he’s surrendered four earned over his last three starts in 18.2 innings total. This should be a decent pitching matchup overall, but I think Greinke and the D-Backs can bag a win here.
