MLB | Washington Nationals (32-22) at Atlanta Braves (32-23)
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Over at SunTrust Park on Friday, the Washington Nationals and the Atlanta Braves will be continuing their MLB series.

In the Thursday opener, the Braves bagged a win 4-2.
For Friday’s game, the Nats will be bringing out RHP Stephen Strasburg. In his 72.0 innings and 6-4 record this year, Strasburg has a 3.12 ERA with 83 Ks and 19 BBs.

The top Washington hitter this year is Trea Turner with 58 hits, 22 RBI and 30 runs to his credit coming into this set. On Thursday, Turner had a hit and two runs.

Over on the Braves’ side, they’re going with Mike Foltynewicz on Friday. Over 60.0 innings and a 4-3 record this year, Foltynewicz has a 2.55 ERA with 69 Ks and 29 BBs.

The Braves’ lead bat right now is Nick Markakis, who had 73 hits, 33 runs and 38 RBI entering this series. In the opener, Markakis had a hit and a run.

The Nationals are 5-1 in their last six in game two of a series and 4-1 in their last five Friday games. Washington is also 59-19 in Strasburg’s last 78 starts and 9-3 in his last 12 Friday starts.

Meanwhile, the Braves are 8-19 in their last 27 in game two of a series and 4-14 in Foltynewicz’s last 18 starts. Atlanta is also 1-7 in Foltynewicz’s last eight home starts and 0-5 in his last five Friday starts.

It’s been a nice run of starts for Strasburg lately, as he’s put up three earned or fewer in each of his last five appearances. As for Foltynewicz, He’s allowed one earned or fewer in each of his last four. I’m going to go out on a limb here and take the Braves, but the under is probably not a bad call either.
