Baltimore Orioles +185 / Cleveland Indians -200 O/U: 10
The Cleveland Indians and the Baltimore Orioles will continue their MLB series on Saturday.
In the Friday opener of this set, the Orioles bombarded Cleveland with eight runs in the first two innings on the way to a big 13-0 shutout win.
For the Saturday game, the Indians will be sending out Zach Plesac in the start. Over his 38.2 innings and 3-2 mark this year, Plesac has a 2.33 ERA with 28 Ks and 11 BBs.
Cleveland put up six hits on the night Friday, but couldn’t do anything on the scoreboard. Oscar Mercado was the only player with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 on the night.
Over on the Orioles’ side, they’re going with Andrew Cashner in the start on Saturday. In his 82.1 innings and 7-3 mark this year Cashner has a 4.37 ERA with 56 Ks and 28 BBs.
Baltimore’s offense exploded on Friday for 16 hits. Nine of those came from three players: Chance Sisco, Anthony Santander and Rio Ruiz, who put up a combined 10 RBI and six runs.
The Indians are 4-0 in their last four Saturday games and 5-2 in their last seven in game two of a series. The under is 6-1 in Cleveland’s last seven Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are 24-60 in their last 84 in game two of a series and 12-40 in their last 52 Saturday games. Baltimore is 4-0 in Cashner’s last four Saturday starts and 4-1 in his last five starts.
Plesac has a relatively small sample size this year, but what we’ve seen has been great. He’s allowed more than one earned in a start just twice, and more than two just once over six outings.
As for Cashner, he had a couple sketchy starts at the end of May but since has given up just four earned in 18.0 innings.
This is a fun pitching matchup, but the Indians should have a clear advantage here (so long as the Baltimore offense doesn’t keep it going).
