The Baltimore Orioles look for some scoring when they face the Houston Astros at Camden Yards.
The Houston Astros are still trying to hold their position atop the American League West and have been getting the job done so far. The Astros continue to win with a 4-1 victory at Baltimore Tuesday for number seven in eleven contests. Starter Scott Feldman gave up the lone run on four hits and a trio of free passes over six frames to improve to 4-4. The Stros totaled eight hits and walked six times with Luis Valbuena going 2-4 with a pair of RBI’s while Evan Gattis was 1-3 with a walk and two runs.Collin McHugh draws the start versus Baltimore for the first time in 2015. McHugh looks to get back in the win column after a 6-2 loss at Detroit with three runs plated on nine hits in seven frames.
The Baltimore Orioles are still searching for consistency which means they are still struggling to string together wins. The Orioles failed in their bid for consecutive victories in Tuesday’s loss where the offense and pen blew a strong performance by starter Chris Tillman. Tllman gave up two runs on five hits through seven innings to take the loss with Tommy Hunter allowing a pair of runs in 2/3 of and inning. The bats produced five hits and a trio of bases on balls with Chris Davis scoring Jimmy Paredes with a sacrifice fly. Ubaldo Jimenez toes the rubber against visiting Houston in a Wednesday afternoon tilt. Jimenez did not get a decision in an 8-5 win at Miami where he gave up three runs on seven hits over four innings.
The under is 8-2-1 in Houston’s last 11 Wednesday games while Houston are 16-5 in their last 21 games as an underdog and 25-11 in their last 36 overall. The under is 10-3 in Baltimore’s last 13 home games and is 16-5-2 in their last 23 Wednesday games while going 15-5-2 in their last 22 overall. Houston are 2-11 in the last 13 meetings in Baltimore and are 5-15 in the last 20 meetings. Baltimore might win if Jimenez throws a shutout and hits a homerun but will lose if he doesn’t…
