|Date & Time||Saturday September 29, 2018, 7:35 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Baltimore Orioles +200 / Houston Astros -240 --- Over/Under: 8.5
The Houston Astros and the Baltimore Orioles will be meeting up at Oriole Park on Saturday to continue their MLB series in Game 2 of a doubleheader.
After the opener was rained out on Thursday, on Friday things were pretty quiet in a 2-1 Astros win.
For the Saturday game, the Astros will be sending out Dallas Keuchel. In his 201.2 innings and 12-11 mark this year, Keuchel has a 3.75 ERA with 151 Ks and 57 BBs.
Houston’s top hitter this year is Alex Bregman, who came into this set on 169 hits, 104 runs, 31 homers and 103 RBI. On Friday, Bregman had one hit.
Over on the Orioles’ side, they’re going with Yefry Ramirez on Saturday. In his 59.1 innings and 1-7 record this year, Ramirez has a 6.07 ERA with 58 Ks and 33 BBs.
Leading the way for the O’s offense is Adam Jones, who entered this series on 160 hits, 54 runs, 15 homers and 63 RBI. On Friday, Jones had a hit and an RBI.
The Astros are 5-0 in their last five Saturday games and 9-3 in their last 12 in game three of a series. Houston is 8-2 in Keuchel’s last 10 road starts and 7-3 in his last 10 Saturday starts.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are 15-36 in their last 51 in game three of a series and 14-38 in their last 52 Saturday games. Baltimore is 0-4 in Ramirez’s last four starts and 0-4 in his last five versus a team with a winning record.
Over his last four starts, Keuchel has been pretty hit-and-miss. In two of those starts, he allowed 10 earned in 11.0 innings; in the other two he put up five earned in 11.0 innings. As for Ramirez, he coughed up six earned in 3.2 innings against the Yankees his last time out but had an okay run going for a few games before that. Still, I don’t think Keuchel will have much trouble here. I’ll go Astros.
