New York Yankees (36-17) at Baltimore Orioles (17-40)
|Date & Time||Sunday June 3, 2018, 1:05 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Baltimore Orioles +136 / New York Yankees -146 --- Over/Under: 9.5
On Sunday from Oriole Park, the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles will be continuing their MLB series.
On Thursday we had a rainout, then the Yankees took the Friday game 4-1. On Saturday, New York logged an 8-5 victory.
For Sunday, the Yankees will be bringing out RHP Domingo German for the start. In his 34.2 innings and 0-3 record so far, German has a 5.45 ERA with 41 Ks and 17 BBs.
Tops in hitting for the Yankees coming into the weekend was Aaron Judge with 58 hits, 42 runs, 16 homers and 41 RBI. On Saturday, Judge had one hit and three Ks.
Over on the Orioles’ side, they’re going with Alex Cobb on Sunday. Over his 1-7 record and 6.80 ERA, Cobb has 25 Ks and 12 BBs.
Manny Machado is tearing it up this year for Baltimore with 73 hits, 31 runs, 17 homers and 46 RBI entering the weekend. In the Saturday game, Machado logged a solo homer.
The Yankees are 6-0 in their last six Sunday games and 9-2 in their last 11 in game three of a series. New York is also 6-1 in their last seven versus the AL East and 11-4 in their last 16 road games.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are 2-5 in their last seven Sunday games and 6-20 in their last 26 during game three of a series. Baltimore is also 1-8 in Cobb’s last nine starts and 0-4 in his last four starts in game three of a series.
German had a good run going early last month, but since then he’s allowed 15 earned across three starts and just isn't looking good. As for Cobb, his numbers don’t look great but he’s been better lately, with three or fewer earned in five of his last six. This might not be a bad spot to take the Orioles on a value pick, or go with the over.
