|Date & Time||Wednesday June 26, 2019, 3:05 PM (EDT)|
Baltimore Orioles +130 / San Diego Padres -140 O/U: 10.5
The San Diego Padres and the Baltimore Orioles will finish up their quick two-game MLB set on Wednesday.
In the Tuesday game, the Padres banged out four runs in the second inning and rode that wave to an 8-3 win.
For Wednesday’s matchup, the Padres will be sending out Matt Strahm for the start. Over his 68.2 innings and 4.85 ERA this year, Strahm has a 2-6 record with 62 Ks and 16 BBs.
San Diego put up 12 hits in the victory Tuesday. Manny Machado was among four players with two hits, bagging a solo homer and two RBI.
Over on the Baltimore side, they’re going with Dylan Bundy in the start Wednesday. Across 80.1 innings and a 3-9 mark so far, Bundy has a 4.59 ERA with 86 Ks and 27 BBs.
Baltimore’s offense came up with 11 hits in the loss Tuesday, but couldn’t translate that into runs. Hanser Alberto finished with four hits and a run to lead the team.
The under is 20-8 in the Padres’ last 28 Wednesday games and 4-0 in Strahm’s last four starts in game two of a series. The under is 7-2-2 in Strahm’s last 11 road starts and 11-5-2 in his last 18 starts overall.
Meanwhile, the Orioles are 16-36 in their last 52 Wednesday games and 24-59 in the last 83 in game two of a series. Baltimore is 6-2 in Bundy’s last eight interleague starts and 1-4 in his last five Wednesday starts.
Strahm had a good run of starts going in may, but hasn’t done so well since the calendar turned. This month, Strahm has given up 17 earned runs on 19 hits in 12.2 innings across three starts.
As for Bundy, he’s avoided implosion and kept the Orioles in games for the most part this year; Trouble is, Baltimore just doesn’t score, so Bundy is 1-4 in his last five outings. I have to go Padres here.
