Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Coming up from Oriole Park on Saturday, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles will be continuing their weekend MLB series.

The Rays eked out a 4-3 win in the Thursday opener, then on Friday, the Orioles rattled off eight runs in the seventh inning on the way to a 15-5 win.

For Saturday’s game, the Rays are going with Ryne Stanek. In his 38.2 innings and 1-2 mark this year, Stanek has a 1.86 ERA with 49 Ks.

Matt Duffy leads the Rays in hitting, as he came into game two with 100 hits, 34 runs and 28 RBI. On Friday, Duffy was out but Kevin Kiermaier put up two hits and a run.

As for the O’s, they’re rolling with RHP Kevin Gausman on Saturday. In his 117.0 innings and 4-8 mark this year, Gausman has a 4.54 ERA with 99 Ks and 30 BBs.

Adam Jones is the big bat for the Orioles now, and he came into Friday on 110 hits, 39 runs, 10 homers and 38 RBI. In game two, Jones hit a three-run homer and had four RBI on the night.

The Rays are 5-0 in their last five in game three of a series and 4-1 in their last five Saturday games. The under is 4-1-1 in Tampa’s last six Saturday games and 33-16-3 in their last 52 in game three of a series.

Meanwhile, the Orioles are 17-37 in their last 54 Saturday games and 7-24 in their last 31 in game three of a series. Baltimore is also 1-5 in Gausman’s last six home starts and 0-4 in his last four Saturday starts.

It’s been a tough two starts for Gausman, as he’s given up 10 earned on 15 hits in 9.2 innings during that pair, striking out just four batters. Gausman may have some trouble with this Rays lineup, which has proven to be quite a bit more formidable than people realized at the beginning of the season. I’m going with Tampa here.
