The Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers face off on Wednesday at Miller Park for game three of their MLB series.
The Milwaukee Brewers battled and won on Monday against the Dodgers but they weren’t as lucky on Tuesday as they took the loss. Aramis Ramirez had two hits, Scooter Gennett had a hit, and Ryan Braun was among those reach base with a walk as the Brewers scored two runs on three hits. Starting pitcher Matt Garza allowed four hits and three runs while striking out five over 6.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 2-4 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Wily Peralta who has allowed Brewers start Wily Peralta who has allowed 40 hits and 15 earned runs while striking out 18 over 31 innings for a 0-4 record and a 4.35 ERA.
The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t been strong on the road but they got it done on Tuesday getting the win in Milwaukee. Jimmy Rollins, Adrian Gonzalez, and Justin Turner each hit home runs as the Dodgers scored eight runs on nine hits. Starting pitcher Zack Greinke allowed two hits and a run while striking out seven over 7.2 innings to get the win and go to 5-0 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Dodgers start Joe Wieland who allowed 16 hits and nine runs while striking out eight over 11.1 innings for a 1-0 record and 7.15 ERA last season with the Padres.
Milwaukee is 4-12 in their last 16 home games, 3-11 against a right-handed starter, and0-5 in Peralta’s last five starts. Los Angeles is 5-1 in their last six games, 4-9 in their last 13 road games, and 6-2 in game three of a series. Los Angeles is 1-4 in their last five games against Milwaukee.
Milwaukee is a mild home dog but that’s where the value is as the Dodgers haven’t been a great road team and Weiland hasn’t shown he can get it done.
